Thea Gilmore performs "Glory" at St George's in Bristol as part of her "Small World Spinning" album tour - www.livewiredmu... Video produced by Zeyus Media - www.zeyusmedia....
Was at the Torrington gig last night and saw Thea for the first time after years of listening to her music. Amazing talent amazing voice and a chance to almost complete the back catalogue. Cutteslowe walls is one of the greatest political songs since tramp the dirt down . Come back to Devon soon.
Yes, I spoke to Thea at Exeter the year before and mentioned that the Plough was a great place to come, she had never heard of it, but when I said that Show of Hands were Patrons it must have convinced her to put it on the list. She is my favourite artist and such a nice lady, and happily posed for a photo with me, even tho it was the last night of the tour and she must have been really tired
Great to see footage from St George's - one of the best concerts I've see from Thea on the back of a strong new album - in fact the next day I booked to see the band again the following week at Acapela in Cardiff, which was another great concert - a tiny venue with a great atmosphere. In Cardiff they were down to three, with Matt swapping bass for fiddle on a few numbers. Hopefully Thea will be releasing more of the St George's concert.
A fantastic song. Love the T shirt: get angry, Take action. So true now more than ever.
Love this!
