I agree! The juggernaut hits so hard. And I loved the sniper for the mech in this as well. Shoots fast enough without zooming in to stun lock enemies and then is crazy strong zoomed in.
Another funny thing for anyone who liked the multiplayer. If you use that Magic Claw Doll on another player for long enough, they just start crying lol.
Man, the CD version of SHOGO I had was super buggy and the music was nonexistent in all the levels. It's interesting to look back on these missions with the soundtracks playing in the background. Feels like a different game entirely.
Yeah actually I remember back in the day not having music either. But this version I'm playing here has some community patches that fix sound and visual errors.
Great video! I didn't know you could blow up those force fields and completely skip the maze of madness. Def gonna remember that for my next run through. How did you find out about the game? I think my dad got it in the 90's when he bought a new mouse with a scroll wheel and it came with it. He got mildly into video games after playing it, so that was super cool that was the result.
So my dad and his brothers used to have LAN parties in the 90s and early 2000s and this was one of their go-to games (along with UT99 and soldier of fortune) When he was out at work i would play the single player at home.

I beated game on all 4 difficulties, and both endings. But i should warn you: there is a "bug" on madness difficulty: if you go full, no scip path, and choose not to join rebels, when you exit museum - you face 4 enemy robots at point blank range. They oneshot you immidiatly, even if you have full armour. They also have extreme precision and reaction. You die before you do anything. I needed hundred(or even more) tryes, to deal with them. Why is it a bug? Cause i bet: no game-designer ever tryed this one scene. It is just too difficult, for any difficulty. It is impossible. There is no way they made this on purpos. They just didn't test this.
funny enough I tried madness yesterday for the first time after 450984 playthrough and right at the first fight with ..huh... "the girl" .. I've been stuck for a while... she had crazy instant reflex, kill you in 3 hits.. and I just told myself "yep, at this point it's just not even funny"..
I beat it when I was like... 13-ish? It wasn't easy and took a lot of loading but it is doable, both endings. (Though there is a part outside of the Museum that is damn near impossible)
So i tried it on madness mode before......that spot right after the museum is near impossible if you dont have the big mech with max armor but i got lucky and they missed their shot on like the 5000th load on me. I think if you take the other option inside the museum you can make it out alive. Basically to beat it on madness you have to quicksave every corner and memorize every enemy. Lots of loading and saving.
