  • The Pacific Electric Clock Company of San Francisco was only in business from 1920-1927.They made synchronized time systems (Master clocks and Secondary clocks) for schools and businesses. Taken over by Standard Electric Time Company of Springfield Massachusetts in 1927. This video shows restorations of Pacific Electric master clocks after they were modified during years of service by Standard Electric Time.

Thanks so much! I have a SET master from 1924 that I restored with the bell tape and mercury pendulum. I really enjoyed the video on the IBM 3-wire system, as trying to keep a secondary clock sync'd to the SET master has been less than satisfying. Greatly enjoyed your videos!

Thank you Jack. Great that you have restored your SET master. Don't give up on synching the slave to your master. You will get it.
