If they had to choose which to unban these days, GC is the right one: ▪︎Easier to deck out by drawing moar cards ▪︎Plenty of gy hate, including exiling ▪︎No card advantage as you have the same # of cards as when you started ▪︎Discards are sometimes a problem instead of helpful ▪︎You need ar least 3 cards in hand, including GC if you want to avoid discarding the card(s) you drew 5 drawbacks compared to the rare possibility of POG never hitting the gy after use as the biggest drawback. Choice is obvious.
While pot of greed is just a straight benefit. Graceful charity would have been even more broken with how many graveyard effects or even set up has been made. It's basically a plus 5 at best and minus 2 at worse
it's literally impossible for graceful to be a -2 because you're discarding the 2 worst cards in hand, worst case is always a hand neutral hand fix (if your deck has 0 ways to use the GY) even baiting an ash blossom is card neutral and graceful is noncommittal so you still have access to all your combo lines.

Graceful Charity is incredible because not only can you draw three cards but you can also use the discard effect to set up the graveyard especially in chaos decks.
I know the disclaimer at the end but hoooooooooooow did you not mention runick fountain? It's basically the only viable draw 3 since graceful. (Honorable mentions to gianttrainer and card of demise)
If they errata the card it can either be these 2 downsides with it being a once per duel and locking you out of Extra Deck summons till the end of the turn as well ((you can't activate card effects from the graveyard till your next turn or banish 2 cards from your hand face-down))

im not playing sylvan but i do main 3 sylvan charity in some deck. so uhh... things goes like this ; -if there 2 sylvan charity on hand, i use it for myself -but if i only have 1 copy, its just a brick. but when mystical refpanel available to use, sylvan charity applied to opponent instead to draw 3. the catch, if they have no sylvan card to return back to their deck they had to shuffle their entire hand back to deck
True and the design of the card is that you'd draw 3 with the card. But he's going over cards with effects that specifically draw 3 cards like he mentioned. Not drawing 1 card up to a maximum of 3 times.
And then there is everyone's favorite draw card that doesn't exist "Everyone draw till 6", the anime version of Card of Sanctity. Would've been cooler if they printed the original version and just perma-banned it, because at least you could actually use it in non-competitive games with friends. It really was the card that embodied the true spirit of Yu-Gi-Oh, Just Draw the Out.
Wait can you use Legacy of a HERO with Nekroz to get some high level Fusion Monster that lists "HERO" monsters into the GY fast without actually using any HERO Normal/Effect Monsters??? (I don't play this game I don't actually know if they already do this or if that's too slow for a non-stun Deck)
The problem with cards like that is they only help you if you have gotten through enough of your combo to have 2 fusions in the grave. If your opponent/brick hand stops you from playing you have now have a card that does nothing. So it's good when you already are winning, or at least in the game, and bad when you need it most.

There are dozens of archetypes without getting support for the last decade. Their rarity system drives deck prices to hundreds of dollars. The ban lists are always underwhelming. Too many generic boss monsters and don't even get me started on their other franchises. BUT, if you seriously think you have any right to be upset about losing to a tier 1 with a tier 3 deck, then you're just delulu. I love playing infinitrack but I'd never think I have anywhere above a 10% chance of winning against kashtira. That's why it's fine when I lose. Your whole argument is basically "if you bricked but have graceful in hand, graceful gets drolled but neither the 2 draws nor the 3 discards can start your combo, then graceful is bad".
