it is written that man cannot live by bread alone...but the trail of crumbs that led me here has proven to be most satisfying :{
He was one of those old souls who just drop into the earth plane for a short time and then leave. RIP Austin x
11 years gone...I still miss you Austin Peralta
One of the best jazz pianist
He was gonna do great things for the young up-and-coming music community. RIP Austin
My friend, he DID do such things. Tell somebody.Turn it UP!!!
@@josephjasonsantiagolacour 4 years later after this comment he's still inspiring people into not giving UP! What a precious soul he was...
Clifford Brown, Scott La Faro, Jaco Pastorius, Austin Peralta........
that drummer is a total beast though, tears it up
It's really, really sad to see talented musicians like Austin pass away so young :(
Couldn't imagine how skillful would he be right now if he were still alive
I can take you to a world
Where you can spread your wings and fly away
Patterned grid world, it waits where you
And it have always been there from the start
4:15 to 5:10 is the reason why you must see any jazz band live. Boy did these guys hit the spot!
Justin Brown..OMG..first time seeing him was Gospel chops back 3 years ago and wasnt impressed..BUt when i saw him with Thundercat..he was Phenom and to see him here...wow...check this out
What could have been if this guy live enough to meet badbadnotgood.
Absolutely brilliant collaboration. Rest in peace Austin. Your playing has inspired me a lot. Also just LOOK at the drummer's hands 1:16-1:18 wow...
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuckkkkkkk :(((((((((((((((((
THAT SNARE SOUND THO OH GOD
I'm not gonna lie. I did not know who Austin Peralta was until about 20 mins ago. And now i know that he died way too soon. And it makes it more crazy because DMT song is one of the most haunting, intoxicating, and engrossing tunes i've ever heard...and i've never done drugs ever. So for this spirit who's left us to be playing that song is a raw torrent of emotion. I am testament to a person who's gone on already giving back and enriching lives from the other side with straight beauty. RIP.
Thundercat wrote a touching song about his demise in his apocalypse album. Assuming that the whole album was his way dealing with the grief and loss
So glad this was recorded, he had so much more to give. I would sacrifice my life to bring Austin back if the world worked that way.
"Goodnight sweet prince. And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest."
this dude was so incredible on the keyboard, such a loss honestly. rip, peralta
RIP AUSTIN WE ALREADY MISS YOU FRIEND!
-G
still best.
it hurts for me to think that this was linked to drugs but I can't help but to think it was because of that. all the other times the cause wasn't released it was because of drugs....sigh such a young talented life..gone.
thundercat did the lyrics didnt he and played bass but austin did the piano part do you know if thundercat or flylo wrote the melody?
His rhodes looks pretty fucked up...
10 years go by
Thats crazy
Rest in Power Austin Peralta
Does anyone know. Can't find it anymore, it was on youtube before. There is a Austin Peralta's DMT version with I think Heidi Vogel on vocals. It's magical. A lot better than Flying Lotus', I like it more than instrumental versions as well...
Does anyone know where to find it? Or if anyone has it maybe they can send it to me, I think it's unreleased.
ruclips.net/video/9wLKmHuv9Fg/видео.htmlsi=nO7YiQzz69oskkVp This should be the one! 🌟🎶
AAAh I'm only just discovering this dude's music, and I instantly know there won't be anymore... Faaaaaaak. You are part of the few people that keep my hopes up in today's music, may the soul of your music live on in our mesmerized brains R.I.P.
Being a member of the Brainfeeder crew (Austin Peralta) they would've been friends. So probably a bit of sharing was going on. That would be my guess. :)
never heard of him before today and so I searched his music up and it was amazing he was huge talent so R.I.P. Austin
A chronicle in his journey to death

RIP AP.
If you enjoy this song, and you don't know about them yet, you should really check out 'Canterbury Scene' bands like Hatfield And The North, National Health, and Soft Machine. It is really very similar music, although 30 years or more old, and was seriously underrated in its day.
That was smokin'
and dave brubek lives
Justin Brown....hes a beast.
R.I.P The world mourns such a monumental loss. Dont think they know it yet

Out of curiosity, does anyone know who the accompanying drummer is? He's extremely good, i'd put him up there with bruner, pridgen and coleman.

Yep, an original Rhodes, gotta have been around the world and back, ready for a tear-down and rebuild, or something.
its actually flying lotus ft. thundercat.
