I think benefitbee have patented almost the silver bullet in ease of use by impregnating the rear of the plastic box in foundation shape. My bees really took to it and it's like plug and play in that once they've capped it over you just put the lid on a nice crystal clear container of comb honey. There no need for thin cut comb foundation either.
Hi JB, I wasn't aware of that, thanks for sharing it. If you have a link I'd love to give it a try next season. I hope you've had a great season. Stewart
Hi Peter, I'm sure you're not alone, I just find them really tricky to put my labels on and have had too many get crushed. Funnily I just sent an email out to someone and said "You can please some beekeepers, some of the time, but not all beekeepers, all of the time"! At least we have a choice as with most things in beekeeping. I hope you've had a great season, we had a tricky start but it evened out in the end. Stewart
Hi Jonathan, Thanks for your comments. If I could find the time to develop something recycleable I would, you would think there was something out there but I've yet to find anything that conforms to Food Standards and works for us as commercial beekeepers. Stewart

The packaging...... I think that's the barrier for beekeepers. How to box, how to display. Thank you.
I think you're right, it's all nice and good on the show table but finding the right packaging is really important.

I much prefer the Thorn'es crystal cut comb container. Shame it is shown as out of stock.

You are the best Stuart, but plastic? What about developing a wooden soft cheese type with a window and take the market by storm!
