Max Hastings is a good author; excellent books.....Have read "To Hell And Back."....have you read the other Audie Murphy biography, "The Price Of Valor.".....I knew an German soldier who fought on the Eastern Front and he recommneded "Ivan's War."...read the "Mengele" biography, evil human.....have not read "Ravensbrook." Will have to find.
Shame on me for not knowing Murphy had another book. I'll have to look for it. Hastings is one of my faves, no surprise. Ivan's War is a happy find for me. It brings the Soviet soldier to life. Thanks so much for watching my channel! I hope you enjoyed it. Cheers!

Beevor 's Staljngrad was very good. I have his Ardennes 1944, but haven't read it yet.
I get a big kick out of his tart and snarky mentions of Hemingway's shenanigans during the Bulge.
@@onepingonly1941 I'll look for that passage. I finally read "Is Paris Burning" and Hemingway is mentioned in there too.
My father in law gave me a copy of that several years ago but you know how it is... I haven't gotten around to it yet.
