This Let’s Play features Path of Radiance’s Japanese exclusive Maniac mode, which was cut from the western release of the game. To play it, you need to get a Japanese ROM and manually translate it (or simply play it in Japanese if you don’t mind missing out on the story). Maniac mode features more enemies with higher stats and more advanced equipment, and also changes the game in other ways, such as granting the player less bonus experience, or even changing the positioning of enemy units. In this Let’s Play, we will focus on the differences between Maniac and Difficult mode, and on the gameplay itself, rather than the story.

Docaccino hmmm I don’t know good question. I personally didn’t even know it was just hard mode since I’ve only played through RD once, maybe people call it maniac mode just to sound like it’s a greater challenge :P prolly just up to personal preference
as far as i know the Difficulties are Mistranslated in the English Version and it is Actually supposed to be Normal, Hard and Maniac but is just translated as Easy, Normal, Hard.

Just clicked the link to your FE-Shadow LP in the description, and i have to note: 1 Year ago Mekkah told you the wrong pronunciation for Shiida/Ceada.
She is pronounced シーダ Shiida (She+da in English pronunciation), not Sida (See+da) - that sound doesn't exist in Japanese.
Fun Fact: She is called that in pretty much every single language, except English.
Marcia was a 3 star unit this playthrough lol.
It's good, but I think the other parts will be better... I'm waiting for the real "Clash" of fun :)
