I think this certainly addresses a player need for bases in the Outlands. I kinda wish there were normal above ground towns, but you can’t have everything.

jfl @ you were right. Hideouts were a fiasco for smaller guilds, 20 vs 200 POE zerg, ive heard worse from 1941 and ARCH. They arent even trying to cap the center of the map, they just zerg noob guilds in their safe zones
Worst thing in the Game. Look ugly on map and zones are locked down by guilds. Low-zero risk to them - all the risk for solo. "Open world" does not exist as long there are hideouts.
It's way easier to straight cap a city plot. With this you have a wide window of time to figure out how to maintain your territory. Good gvg team takes a town plot in four days no contest.
@@RealRaxzen yes but holding a hideout yet alone upgrade it and keeping it running seems like a huge waste of resources, when if enemies have numbers on you, you lose.

Those are some surprisingly balanced changes. The only debatable part is the entering of the hideout in context of the combat mode

Yes, but at the same time, the hideout can be located in a Tier 8 location, which will allow you to farm more safely in high-tires locations.

They are easier to obtain than city plots and much more flexible. You can place them in T8 zones for example.
