Great video Sam.
What I notice with the Russian people is they are so friendly.
They smile very quick. And the smile is so genuine.
It come from the heart.
Thank you very much.
.
Les that is the truth. The first time I went to Russia to visit my now wife I went with an open mind (as I had not believed western msm for about 10 years, not that I believed it much before that, lol) and I was still very pleasantly surprised. The people were friendly and helpful, even the police were polite, helpful, and friendly.
I was in Russia for 3 Months without knowing the Russian language at all, i had the best time of my Life and the people are so helpful and try to speak english or with hands and feet to help you haha. Russia is the last castle of european culture how it should be.
Thanks for sharing your experience!!!
It's no wonder our corrupt Western leaders hate them! Go Russia!
Wow interesting! I am wanting to live in Russia as certified professor…
Sam is single handedly creating a tourist industry in Vladimir! Lots of friendly people! Looks like a really cool place to hang out anyway!
Making the chicks look approachable :)).
Seriously, like I fell I could actually start a decent conversation with them.
That 22A bar is playing great music. Greetings from Serbia.
My impresssion of trying to speak English with Russians, in Russia is that they can all speak some English, but are reluctant to try unless they are fluent. So most times they say no.
Русские: сносно изъясняются на английском, но постоянно извиняются что плохо знают
Индусы: им всё равно, если вы не понимаете их английский это ваши проблемы
Да! Русские всегда говорят что не знают!!! И говорят как будто родной язык!!
😂😂😂

it is very hard to transfer the money to and from the Russia in our days.
@user-lj9os1tk4q in all honesty, not that many people dislike Russia or Russians, only those who get brainwashed by the propaganda on the tv.
As a englishman the way things are going over here it may not be long until we are looking for refuge.
This gives me some Germany vibes from 20-30 years ago. It's clean, sunny weather, people here and there, but not too many. People are kind and smiling. Nowadays it's the complete opposite.
😮😔😥
I think we all know why that is...
Germany was sunny 30 yrs ago? You had too much beer
GB...seriously happened with Germany? It used to be so awesome. My Dad traveled there extensively. He loved it. He said everything works there. It was a very well run country. (Same for America-Canada)
You know, Sam? It seems when you compliment a girl, they are appreciative and polite. Here in the US, it seems like they act as if you are some kind of creep. Also, many foreigners I meet are very apprehensive about speaking English, fearing they don't speak it very well when in fact they speak it perfectly fine. There is a guy I work with who is Russian. He doesn't speak very much, and I have tried to speak my caveman-level Russian to him, but he is reluctant. I think however he is reluctant because of all the anti-Russian rhetoric here. Lucky you, there are so many beautiful girls where you are. If I ever come, you must take me around and show all of them your American friend!
But.. but... the USA is the GREATEAST country in the WORLD !!!! ....... they say.
@@Wirmish It's out of politeness.
Approaching pretty women like that requires a lot of self confidence and bravery lol
Sam have Both, 😉
Почему?
@@user-xq8sq2nt4v Sam has Self Confidence & Sam is Brave, Go Sam
I feel like the women in Russia are generally more approachable so it wouldn't necessarily require it as much. They may find you interesting and try talking to you for that reason alone.

Absolutely stunning looking woman in Russia enjoy
Sam, the girl @ 10h20 worked or works at Mario Mario, she speaks English very well and also makes cartoons! She is very kind and lovely! And like most of the people in Vladimir very friendly!!!

Love your work mate. Russian women are the most beautiful and domesticated on earth.
When you ask people on the street if they speak English, they expect it to be something complicated and say no. If you just ask for some help, most likely they will have enough gestures and basic knowledge of English to help you.
Sure, as I said, most will speak.
Sam getting in some approaches for the weekend. Love it mate 😎

Amazing to hear that song being played in a Russian bar
Sam, you should do these more often. It's very interesting watching the interaction with native Russians. Most seem to be very approachable, unlike what we are told in the mainstream media. Any chance you could travel to different cities doing this? I have a fascination for Zheleznodorozhny. Seems like a nice place. I think it's actually considered a part of Balashikha now though.
@@user-lj9os1tk4q Don't worry, most Americans know it is propaganda. I love the Russian people. I have been taking Russian for 18 months, for the purpose of being able to visit there, and have meaningful conversations with native Russians.

Thanks Sam for your experiment. Speaking only English is okay to go around Russia nowadays. My elder brother went to Moskow during his student time in Holland, in those old times he was escorted by an English speaking guide. God bless your good works.😁

Yes, in Russia they say summer is a little life. Maybe because summer is short over there.
I am sure I will forget even my native language, if I see camera. It is very interesting to see people try to speak. Vladimir look very nice at Summer.

I hate cameras. Nowadays almost impossibly to walk on streets relaxed 😢

It’s nice to see more interaction with the local people! It’s nice to see the urban parts of Vladimir!
You should definitely do more of these “interactions with local people” videos.

This is mostly an English language channel that’s why
Westerners who are native English speakers don't understand how lucky they are, because so many people around the world have some knowledge of English. I've travelled to more than 30 countries and I always have success finding people to talk to. Another great post Sam!
English is the most spoken language in the world, so its not only people in the West. It is mandatory to speak and learn the language in many countries across Asia.
because English is very simple languange (compared to other languages)
English is the ‘International Business Language’, - even pilots need it. (it cost 100k for a commercial pilot’s license, yikes)
@@user-vb5hn8hl9g that's highly subjective. To a person who has learned mandarin since birth, English would be a lot more difficult and vice versa.
Great vid like always😁
What a great episode! You know that you can always repeat this video and it will be entertaining every time. I was thinking about video idea for you and i dont think you will like it, but here it is... Some kind of challenge, to get someone to go on an adventure, like rafting, quad bike or snowmobile riding in the area... But it has to be with strangers, it would make for such a terrific episode. Maybe you could get inspiration from those challenge channels, like Discover connections, Yes theory, Stranger kitchen... I am wonderinng if Russians would be open to such concept, to invite you to their home to cook a British dinner for them and hang out for a bit. It would be even better if you did it with someone, like bring one friend, or a girl, just to make it easier for the conversation to flow. Weekend seems like a best time to do it, to find people on saturday to cook at their place on sunday. And it doesnt matter if you are not a great cook, you can learn quite easily to prepare one louzy meal to be decent. 😄 Just trying to help by sharing my thoughts...
Hi mate, all my friends hate being on camera! That’s why I film strangers. It’s so difficult to convince people to let me film them! Short conversations are ok. I have some more different types of videos on the way.

In big cities such as st.petes they all speak english (not including ppl over 60years old), or atleast they understand it. They may not like to speak in english but if you struggle to explain something in russian they'll help you out in english.

I was always surprised at how many Russians speak English, but I never tried to wander around looking for them. Thanks to the US Army, I do speak Russian, so I didn’t need them to speak English. What I found was that many Russians wanted to help, even if they didn’t speak English. That said, I never had the courage to walk up to strangers! Nice video!
