Also go to the Marians of the Divine Mercy in Massachusetts (Fr Chris Alar) sign yourself and your family members for prayers now and after you are gone…it is easy to do… Also sign ppl up you have known and loved that have gone before you…they may not be able to pray for you while they are in Purgatory but after they are in Heaven they will pray for you…Pray Without Ceasing…. In regards to the marriage attendance question, I had a close friend who both he and his fiancé were confirmed Catholics but sparsely practicing. I was asked to be the best man and I agreed. I then was soon told that they both were in the process of leaving the Church and converting to Episcopalianism. I was then put in the very awkward position of telling him I couldn’t be in any way part of the wedding apart from passive observer. He hasn’t spoken to me since the day I told him. I explicitly laid out the reasons, but he didn’t want to accept any of it. There’s no easy way to do this kind of thing. Depending on the person, they may be understanding, or they may end the friendship. But like St. Thomas Moore, you cannot compromise your faith and duty to Jesus and the truth for the sake of being nice to those who are getting married.

I'm grateful that there is an abundance of Catholic churches where we live. One of them is run by the Norbertine Order so the TLM will continue to be celebrated there. I take off my hat for Cardinal Burke and Fr. Ripperger. Their immense knowledge and contribution is invaluable. The question "What is the Catholic peoples obligation to following and obeying Pope Francis was rather unfortunate. Grateful that Cardinal Burke answered in a profound manner I guess this is where Religion, Science and Leadership integrate. "The Pope as the Man and a Vicar of Christ" The ideal conference is to have the "whole system" in the room.( Representation from various parties in the Catholic faith by geography, level, culture, race , ethnicity, gender, age etc). There you will be exposed to 100's of different truths in the room. Firstly, it is Important to understand the core of the lead- role (in this case our Pope) that it consists of ,( amongst others) things they will need to do: 1.Set the direction- Aligning the Catholic faith on that direction.Defend and protect the doctrine of the church 2.Mobilize other leaders' to deliver on that direction. 3.Manage his personal effectiveness " the Man" (Enormous work and the hardest) Secondly, there are also mindsets that differentiate these leaders. You need to ask, “What is it about direction setting in defending the doctrine of the church? How do these leaders approach it? What do they think about it that causes them to act? What predisposes them to act in a certain way? Imagine you get handed the keys to drive the Catholic faith institution that’s worth billions and has thousands of Cardinals, Bishops Priests etc. It would be easy to have a mindset that says, “Do no harm is the first thing that I need to think about,” and I need to be relatively conservative. However, another leader would not have that mindset. They would have the opposite mindset, which is, “Be bold". They would consistently consider, “How do I take the next step, that magnifies and multiplies the Catholic faith to higher levels. It seems “Be bold” is the mindset that really separates these leaders from the rest. As for the role of mobilizing leaders (that is, his team and leaders that are close to him.) This leader has to consider dynamics. This leader has to think less about the mechanics of, “What do we meet on, with whom, and when,” and think a lot more about, “What is the psychology of my leadership team?” It has to be about dynamics, not mechanics. Are these leaders showing up and performing like thermostats, and not as thermometers? By that it means that, It’s easy to show up and report on what’s going on, in the way a thermometer would. But to actually do things that change the outcome is what you want in your leaders. Secondly , are leaders showing up as “we” versus “me”? This leader thinks about the psychology on a number of dimensions and works on that psychology. That’s more about where this leader puts their time rather than the mechanics of how to run the leadership team. In terms of personal effectiveness, the leader (Pope) is accountable for everything. It would be easy to have the mindset that says, “I need to do anything that needs to be done around here.” This particular leader might not have that mindset toward their role. This leader says, “I need to do what only I can do as the Leader of this Catholic faith and with the capabilities I have.” This leader is very focused on areas where they would get involved and delve more deeply, rather than letting themselves get spread thin in a way that adds very little value to other leaders and to the Catholic faith. I guess these are powerful leadership mindsets at play here. Hence , the ideal conference is to have the "whole system" in the room.( Representation from various parties in the Catholic faith by geography, level, culture, race , ethnicity, gender etc). There you will be exposed to different truths in the room. Finally, the conference will reach common ground. May our Catholic faith be the cornerstone of our lives. Bless our Pope. Our blessed Mother, our Father Joseph and all Saints , protect our church.

Often there is no priest available; they are ‘too busy’, my own experience at times. On the other hand, when I’ve been going through very difficult circumstances, a couple of devout & really good Catholic people have come to my house, & placed a hand on my shoulder & prayed for me, using holy oil & water. Whatever the outcome, their compassion & empathy were a great comfort to me at the time. God bless you all!
We often hear in these questions, the description of a "good catholic", which should warns us of the message in Luke 18:9-14 regarding the tax collector and the pharisee. I take off my hat for Cardinal Burke and Fr. Ripperger. Their immense knowledge and contribution is invaluable. The question "What is the Catholic peoples obligation to following and obeying Pope Francis was rather unfortunate. Grateful that Cardinal Burke answered in a profound manner
I guess this is where Religion, Science and Leadership integrate. "The Pope as the Man and a Vicar of Christ"
The ideal conference is to have the "whole system" in the room.( Representation from various parties in the Catholic faith by geography, level, culture, race , ethnicity, gender, age etc). There you will be exposed to 100's of different truths in the room.
Firstly, it is Important to understand the core of the lead- role (in this case our Pope) that it consists of ,( amongst others) things they will need to do:
1.Set the direction-
Aligning the Catholic faith on that direction.Defend and protect the doctrine of the church
2.Mobilize other leaders' to deliver on that direction.
3.Manage his personal effectiveness " the Man" (Enormous work and the hardest)
Secondly, there are also mindsets that differentiate these leaders.
You need to ask, “What is it about direction setting in defending the doctrine of the church? How do these leaders approach it? What do they think about it that causes them to act? What predisposes them to act in a certain way?
Imagine you get handed the keys to drive the Catholic faith institution that’s worth billions and has thousands of Cardinals, Bishops Priests etc. It would be easy to have a mindset that says, “Do no harm is the first thing that I need to think about,” and I need to be relatively conservative.
However, another leader would not have that mindset. They would have the opposite mindset, which is, “Be bold". They would consistently consider, “How do I take the next step, that magnifies and multiplies the Catholic faith to higher levels. It seems “Be bold” is the mindset that really separates these leaders from the rest.
As for the role of mobilizing leaders (that is, his team and leaders that are close to him.) This leader has to consider dynamics.
This leader has to think less about the mechanics of, “What do we meet on, with whom, and when,” and think a lot more about, “What is the psychology of my leadership team?” It has to be about dynamics, not mechanics. Are these leaders showing up and performing like thermostats, and not as thermometers?
By that it means that, It’s easy to show up and report on what’s going on, in the way a thermometer would. But to actually do things that change the outcome is what you want in your leaders. Secondly , are leaders showing up as “we” versus “me”? This leader thinks about the psychology on a number of dimensions and works on that psychology. That’s more about where this leader puts their time rather than the mechanics of how to run the leadership team.
In terms of personal effectiveness, the leader (Pope) is accountable for everything. It would be easy to have the mindset that says, “I need to do anything that needs to be done around here.”
This particular leader might not have that mindset toward their role.
This leader says, “I need to do what only I can do as the Leader of this Catholic faith and with the capabilities I have.” This leader is very focused on areas where they would get involved and delve more deeply, rather than letting themselves get spread thin in a way that adds very little value to other leaders and to the Catholic faith. I guess these are powerful leadership mindsets at play here. Hence , the ideal conference is to have the "whole system" in the room.( Representation from various parties in the Catholic faith by geography, level, culture, race , ethnicity, gender etc). There you will be exposed to different truths in the room. Finally, the conference will reach common ground.
May our Catholic faith be the cornerstone of our lives. Bless our Pope. Our blessed Mother, our Father Joseph and all Saints , protect our church.
Thank you for the Q and A! Very informative. Never cared for the Harrry Potter books or movies. But other family members have read them. I have practiced yoga not knowing the Catholic view regarding it. I stopped many years ago. Praying these men strive to holy and true to the faith. We can learn so much from them! In 2024 I plan to recite the rosary every night.

Often there is no priest available; they are ‘too busy’, my own experience at times. On the other hand, when I’ve been going through very difficult circumstances, a couple of devout & really good Catholic people have come to my house, & placed a hand on my shoulder & prayed for me, using holy oil & water. Whatever the outcome, their compassion & empathy were a great comfort to me at the time. God bless you all!
