I saw them twice back in the Day. I wacthed Mick Play that Crazy Solo. I never could figure it all out I always got to the Shows at least 3 hours Early. Always 1st in the Door. I learned alot from Ronnie Montrose, Buck Darma and Billy Gibbons. I learned songs from watching them!
Underrated solo, for sure.
Another spot on song and lesson, a special thanks for showing us the lead.
You've been killing it lately. Great tone on this one!!!
KDA really has been hittin' on all cylinders. He did the tune that introduced me as a youngster to rock n roll, 'Miss America', and now this one off the first LP I ever bought.
It's been quite a trip down memory lane!
Oooh! A friend sent me a Foriegner Live cd as a gift a few weeks ago. Been looking to learn a few of their classics. Nice!
Nice job!
Something about Foreigner tunes that reminds me of my early teens at roller skating rinks. 😂
I missed wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving Kelly. You all celebrate earlier than us!
This is right on time, i pulled out Foreigner's first two albums last week and tried in vain to play the solo on Hot Blooded. From what I understand, Ted Nugent called Mick Jones and told him that this was the best guitar solo he ever heard.
I think it lacks something
Thanks, this is so on-point. Couldn't imagine nailing it a month ago, but I feel like I've been to the crossroads. Thanks, man.
Great Lesson! Love how you teach. Thanks so much for this. 🙂👍💯
Thank you for another great lesson !
Hell yeah…just started watching Tacoma FD. They use it for the opening credits. Kick ass riff
The best tone on that song!!
Keep doing what you're doing Kelly this is great content thanks for sharing your talent.
Another great tutorial!
Awesome!!!
Thanks. .great lesson
Awesome man.
Nice guitar!
Thanks🤘
Awesome job Kelly…not enough Foreigner on the intrawebs…my fav is a rare track titled “soul doctor”….if you could do a tutorial on that one, I’d dance at your wedding 🤣
Good stuff. Useful. Solo's not quite right, but I can take it from here.
Awesome...Canadians make the best teachers. P.S. I hear "Funky Cold Medina" in my brain. Lol
lol. Basically the same chords on the verse.
Man you nailed that Solo. So glad to see you posting more. I have seen the G & F bar chords during the song played with the G string open, can't recall the actual chord names. Try it and se÷ what you think. Take care and rock on!
Yeah, I watched James James channel, and he does the G with his thumb on the six string G notes and grabbing the 5th fret A & D strings with the pinky and ring finger while barring the 1st and 2nd string with the index finger at the 3rd fret. Keeping the G string open. Then just sliding the whole thing up to the 1st fret. It sounds cool to me 🤷🏻
Opa. Bela camiseta do Fluminense! Viva o Brasil
Foreigner...R&R Hall of Fame 2024
All of the main rhythm part is easier if you tune into Open G!
It’s how the band tuned the recording.
3:02
Played this album to death, more than once lol
The F chord at 4:32 is NOT a standard F bar chord. Listen to the song closely. It's a killer F
09:25 This is what you came here for....
If you figured this solo out you probably cracked the nuclear launch code too. Lol
And still not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
@ Jessie not trying to be disrespectful but who gives a shit about the Hall? It’s a disgrace anyway & add Trower to that list not in that farce!
Rock n Roll hall of fame has become about as worthless an honor as the noble prize. The award never given to the ones who EARN & deserve it.
That is a Odd Solo isn't it. 🤔
I’m sorry,, but you are playing the last chord wrong. Almost every guitar player thinks it’s just a C chord w/the added B string you are doing with your pinky finger.
I’m not sure of the actual name of the chord, but it’s an inversion that allows the chord to really ring out. If you watch live performances of this song you’ll see what I’m talking about.
Close but not quite right nice try keep practicing
Who The Hell wants to play any solo note for note. These Tribute Bands should be required to pay the artists for making money off their tunes, and picking up woman all on their nickel . Disgraceful and Pathetic.
