Achieving Impact in Ageing Research

The impact of the research carried out by UL's Ageing Research Centre is far-reaching, benefiting a diverse spectrum of stakeholders. Exemplars of tangible advantages for older adults, the university, the research community, and broader society arising from research is outlined.
Findings on the first definitive randomised controlled trial internationally to explore the impact of Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment on older adults attending the Emergency Department will be presented in which older adults played a key role in study conceptualisation and interpretation of findings.
While the impact achieved through a series of studies targeting physical activity among stroke survivors is also explored
