Hi! Hope you enjoyed this video - I think I have been going through an art block so I have been trying to re-inspire myself to paint again. If you have any advice on how you overcome art blocks, let me know as well! 🎨

I've been hobby painting for a few years now, really leaning into the working the creative muscles of learning new techniques, not being afraid to fail, and leaning into "trusting the process"--really appreciate watching a video from you (an artist I admire!) being honest about the process and your approach to craft! Thanks for all the lovely videos (:

The last time I felt this good because of a creative video was back when Marzia Bisognin made her content. I'm really enjoying your inputs and also the art and aesthetics! :) :)

Thanks for sharing this side of your journey. Scared, that's the word that has defined who I was before. I loved drawing since I was small. But growing up I was never consistent with it as I didn't like what I did. Always compare my work. And I did the same as an adult. I used to be on DeviantArt way before and met a few aspiring artists there. Lost contact and now that I found a few back on insta, they've stuck to the art and it's their life now. But what did I do? I started comparing again, being scared and having regrets about what I could have achieved. Whenever I did a drawing I didn't like, I would just stop art completely. But now I am embracing my art, even the bad ones, stop comparing myself but rather get inspired by these artists. It's not a race. So if I have an art block, I take a break or do some warm-up exercise, like just drawing circles or other shapes, it helps me. I am going back to all my unfinished drawings, the ones I never liked and now finishing them, even if part of it is bad, turning them into something special.

You put so much love and care into your shots 😍 Kudos on the variety of composition, lighting, storytelling, Dhanisha!!
I also rush past the sketching phase and just go straighten into painting often haha. I’m just too impatient and excited to start sometimes!
Sometimes the ugly phase never ends and that’s ok. Even if the end product didn’t bring me happiness, at least I learned from the process.

Hi Dalena 🥰Thank you so much! Yes it’s funny how I took time to set my shots but when it came to the painting I rushed it but yes totally agree I definitely learned a lot from this painting and I’m so happy I did it! 🎨❤️
