- Hey, thanks for checking out the video. I wanted to try out Game Builder Garage, as it's similar to Maro Maker in a way. Please let me know what you guys think about this type of video, as it's different from what I usually post.

The reason why the mushroom counts as a coin is because it's a cylinder like the coins
You could use a destroy sensor to fix this
I think one of the main things keeping me from playing this game is that I was really wanting to animate the characters because animations add so much to the fluidity and feel of the game. I really just wanted this to be like Dreams on PS4 but I guess that's not going to happen.
this game is very limited and for teaching stuff to kids, it doesn't do it. like wheres the variables? or character animation lab? complexity might be complicated, but if you do it right they'll figure it out
I bought it and am stuck on the 5th set of checkpoint levels where you have to move the camera around to do crap. The stuff before that was easy.
You can animate characters and things. Lots of creators have done it.

To fix the walljump you need to be moving into the wall so you could add a small touch sensor to the left side of the player that when it sees it is next to a wall it moves into it instead of away from it... until you jump
Hello! Here’s some ideas to upgrade your game.
So collecting a mushroom counts as collecting a coin because you have a cylinder that is part of the mushroom, and you’re using an object break nodon for the coins. But I don’t think it’s a big problem. But a slightly bigger issue is the coins. See, it takes a bit for the coin to process the person is touching it, so the person touches it for a quick second without destroying it. To fix this, make the object non solid and attach a touch sensor exactly the same size as it, and also connect a destroy object nodon to it. Now connect the touching count to the destroy port, and you have a non solid coin! Also, if you wanna make the coins rotate, use a rotating object nodon and bring out a constant nodon. Connect the constant port to the y axis port, and it’s rotating! But, it seems to be gravity affected…No fear! Go into the rotating object’s settings and turn it’s material into zero gravity. And using the same setup as before, we have a very accurate coin (w/o a texture ofc)! Seems simple, but it’ll go a long way! Sorry if this tutorial was long, but I really liked the vid! Hoping you’re enjoying making games more!

Really good recreation!! I’m currently making a recreation of the evergreen terrace area from the game simpsons hit and run in gbg but because the map is so big I have had to make it into two separate games connected with a game swap nodon

Hey, just a quick question, do you think you could do a tutorial on how to make the characters teleport and swap places?
If you want to stop players walking on coins, get a world nodon and set "object destruction speed" to 0.00

The lagging behind could be fixed by connecting a destroy object that’s slightly larger than the player to the player, making the objects be destroyed before the character actually touches them. You'd just have to add a Constant to the Destroy port, or a touch sensor. No teleporting needed, and if you make it taller than the player, you can fix the walking on coins issue. You could also potentially fix the models not rolling properly with moving objects. You’ve probably already moved on from this game, but that won’t stop me. Also make sure to enable Destroy Object in the objects that you want to destroy

How do you switch person nodons ;-;
You should be able to make your character object turn left when when moving left and right when moving right. That should fix your issue with wall jumps on left walls
