Growing up in Hong Kong during the early 1970's I still don't know why it got the name the Star Ferry. Maybe showing the presence of the Ottoman empire with the Ottoman stars in Eastern Asia in the old days of the late 19th century. Star Ferry Company was originally founded by a South Asian Entrepreneur seeking his fortune in 19th century Hong Kong.
Hong Kong could have been a UNESCO world heritage site if the buildings from the late 19th century to the early 20th century were preserved. Wished people at that time knew how to treasure historical architecture.

There's a ferry service from Tsim Sha Tsui to Macau! Take the ferry from China Ferry Terminal, next to Harbour City.
