If you use a PC to format the card in FAT32 you can go up to 2 TB. But a single file can't be no larger than 4GB. I have a 1 TB in my motorola xt2211dl. And prior to getting that phone I had a 1TB card in my LG stylo 5. When I got out of the joint I got a cheap ZTE phone and tried to tell me that I can't put anything larger than a 32. I took a 128 and used the good ol' trusty PC (The master race of all devices that connect to the internet) and formatted it from a exFAT to a FAT32. And Boom. I worked just like I knew it would. Cell phones are too easy. I only use them if I have to. They are nothing more than a neutered computer.
@@WorldofTech I took out my 1TB card that I've had for awhile that I has been formatted as FAT32 ( didn't have a choice because that's the only way you can get an older and/or cheaper phone to read it) Anyway I took out my 1TB and I took a 200 and formatted it exFAT and it worked 🥳🤗. So now what I've done already is that I used Macrium Reflect to copy all the files I had on my 1TB card and create an .iso image to store on my PC. (I have 4 drives in my PC totalling 22TBs) And now I'm going to format my 1TB card as exFAT and now I'll be able to upload all of my high quality blu-ray rips of all the shows that a lot of my favorite bands have cranked out. 🤘🤘The SlipKnot and Rammstein blu-rays are going on that bad boy first.🤘🤘
You rock! Thanks for posting! Got the new 256GB all set up in the g stylus.
Thank you! I couldn’t get the SD card to insert but turns out it needed to snap in place first
What if I have pictures and music on SD card and don't want to erase anything?
Great video, thanks. Do you need to format a brand-new card?
Nice video, is the memory combined?
Thank you so much for this easy to follow video!
Nice info for the Moto G stylus.👍
Thanks for the Info. Well done, easy to understand and Much needed! ; )
Is there a specific card this use?Cause when I go to storage nothing happens
Everything I've ever seen regarding extracting/inserting SIM and SD cards says you should do it with power off.
Is that not advisable?
Thanks four helping me
Does this work for samsung?
Can't make calls or text messages or receive them got data emails?
How do you know for sure that the max SD card size is 512?
How do I move my games/apps onto the SD card?
thank you!
I thought I read it could handle up to 1 terabyte SD? That's not the case
i don't want to erase a half used sd card ARE YOU KIDDING ???QQ/ !
Then back it up in ur phones memory then format sd card then move those photos back to sd card.
I was told this smartphone can have up to a 1TB SD card
Yea maybe sometimes a phone has max recommended sd card but sometimes it will still work w a bigger sized sd card.
@@WorldofTech hmm really interesting
@@WorldofTech What types of negative side effects can be occurring if you are using a workable larger SD card than is recommended?
