For real when we knew very little about him during the start of the penacony story arch, I viewed him as a character who only liked to show off his wealth and saw himself as "above" everyone else... but after this 2.1 story update...we all found out...that his act...was for a real reason, I think I'll pull on his banner just out of respect for how he's the most underrated character in this story patch and this ost?...top notch when I was playing the game and this track came on It hit me in the feels...I immediately started feeling bad for Aventurine 😢

This soundtrack became my favorite. There is so much to unpack here... The feels, the fear, the anxiety, the panick, the sorrow, the pain, yet it's comforting because it's his home, the melancolia... It is so bittersweet. It makes my heart shatter everytime and punch me in the guts of how well it represents the beautiful writing of this quest.

Yeah. As someone who doesn't like being an Emanator of Nihility, she helped him find meaning in living. If you view his boss form's profile, Aventurine didn't necessarily want to die-die, but he does struggle finding the point in life and he's just been aimlessly gambling away until he finds it and be someone his family would be proud of.
It's amazing how the writers managed to establish Aventurine as a very solid character with very good narrative arc execution and character development in just one story act. Even more amazing considering he has no existing lore from HYV's previous games like Welt or Acheron.
@@phrinus Let's accept flaws. The narration, writing and even visually, was very much like what they do in Honkai Impact, but indeed way shorter. Unfortunately, they can't do whole chapters on a single character that will then only appear occasionally (unlike hi3rd)... so they had to adapt the pacing i guess. I still feel grateful they took the time and effort to make a deeper character properly that matches the theme of the story! The whole Penacony was refreshing from what we've seen before in the HSR story and overall Genshin. It didn't feel forced to me, on the contrary, it was freeing itself. I can admit i felt nostalgious of honkai... My main point is that the main chapters are really short and constantly introducing new characters for the gacha, so they still have to work on the pacing if they want to tell stories like in honkai again! Yet, it felt like they really wanted to tell a story, and not just a plot. It seemed worthy to take the time to go through the story and experience an unique character like Aventurine, who still managed to leave the story fleshed out despite the info dumps, as you call it. We could also talk about Sunday and Acheron, yet those two take a lot from hi3rd (surprisingly, Sunday more than Acheron). On the other hand, Aventurine stood out as freshly new and yet as much important in the narrative and themes! It's false to assume it was only for chracter development sake, his character "arc" overlapped perfectly with the dreams idea, Sunday's beliefs and Acheron's too, Nihilism and Nihility, the preservation path...all linked up... Anyways, here stands this music as a proof of his character, let's appreciate it.

Bro played the biggest scheme and managed to fool everyone. Now he's free from Harmony's curse thanks to Acheron's blade and he's probably in the real Penacony, where the Watchmaker's Legacy is.
For me aventurine was like Furina. I was neutral on my opinions on both of them because I felt there were pieces missing in the story. Then when their struggles were revealed and their true character appeared I loved both of them. Bravo Genshin and Star Rail
Never saw this mentioned anywhere but you get a free kakavasha profile icon at the end of the 4.1 quest. I don't think there was a notification for it when i completed the quest and i only found out myself when i tried to change my profile icon.

I can't keep my eyes dry listening to this one. Aventurine went from sussy renegade maverick gambler to the most developed character in the whole damn game in the span of one patch. I hope we get similar depth to some of the other characters too.
