I'm secretly bisexual. I would never tell my mom because my family is extremely christian and say things like "the election was stolen," or "being lesbian hurts you." I had a crush on a girl and a guy at the same time in 5th grade, i haven't had a crush on a girl since then, but it hurts my soul to hear my mom telling me that lesbians and gays are evil and nasty. And yet she still says "don't hate on people." I've tried my best to ignore her, but it still gets to me.
It was same for me. In elementary school I had a crush on both a guy and girl character from a show I liked. I'm omni (specifically leaning towards girls). My parents aren't exactly thrilled but they accept who I am, I promise someone will accept you as well. Don't give up.
My family dragged me down my whole life and I wish I had just ditched them and followed my dreams. I’m in no space to give advice but I want you to know that you are perfect just the way you are and you deserve to fully express all aspects of yourself and to be around people who fully appreciate ALL of you 🫶

My high school crush/best friend whom I was in love with broke my heart. She emailed me a long message in 2008 right after I graduated, this is the first line, "You're a f***ing lesbo w***e and I've hated you for a really long time, I was just too nice to tell you." I cried for two days straight cause that was my first love. 😢
@@thatpigeondude It's not very hard to comprehend if you even listened to the song once lmao. If you are getting tripped up over the vocabulary, then maybe pay more attention in your language classes?
gods this hits close to home. as a teenager, i fell hard for my best friend and she broke my heart. she was heteroflexible but decidedly not bi. i watched her date a string of crappy guys who treated her like garbage and knew she would never be able to love me, or to let me love her.
I got emotional listening to this, so nice to see people in the comments that can also relate. I swear middle school and highschool are some of the most difficult years. I feel like all of our stories start around those ages ❤
It was completely worth waiting so long for this album, it's beautiful and it's perfect just like Ash, who I admire, inspires me and keeps me going always 💙
I was 12 and living in Georgia when I was sent to a mormon summer camp that changed everything for me- but not how my parents had hoped....especially not my religious extremist then stepfather. It was there that I met the most beautiful girl i had ever laid eyes on back then, and I snuck out to her cabin one night. That night, although me and the girls just talked, I learned what bisexuality is, and everything started making sense to me. It was such an exciting feeling of self discovery and unity. After camp, me and the girls became ~best friends~. We were absolutely inseparable, and we got in so much trouble together as two rebellious emo girls who wanted nothing to do with the church we were both forced into. She had a boyfriend who she was constantly heartbroken over, and I was always there for her. We were all we had that felt soft and safe. But it didnt take long for our parents to try keeping us apart from each other. We were too close, and too much trouble. We fought back hard, but eventually......i found myself having my first kiss on the night before she was shipped off to a troubled teens camp in Utah, as my mom (who is now ex mormon, accepting, and a part of the community herself) pounded on the locked bedroom door. And then she was gone. No contact allowed. And i moved to another state. As soon as she got out, we had a brief online relationship that didnt last, and i never saw her again. Im 27 now, and it wasnt until last year that I learned the trusty about why she was sent away. It wasnt because we got into trouble together- well, not entirely. The biggest, most pressing reason was that our parents knew how we felt about each other. They had secretly been working together with the bishop of the church to save us from our temptations. Her parents blamed me for everything. My mom thought I was aware of that already, and I definitely wasnt- not that it came as a surprise. The troubled teens camp she was sent to was one that has made headlines in recent years for the awful things that really happen there. It's all really insane to think about today. So anyway, yall can imagine how absolutely shook i was to hear this song for the first time. It is mind blowing to think that we have had experiences that are so bizarrely similar to each other.
This song is so relatable for me. I had my first “girlfriend” at 14, she was only a little younger than me. We drank stolen liquor, met outside of her house late at night, she told me it was just to practice for the boys she liked, and when our parents found out I legit took all the blame and my parents tried to pray away my gay too.
I've been waiting for this album since it was first hinted at... I had an absolutely wretched day, but this album has given me something beautiful, something that hits every emotion in feeling right now. Thank you. 🖤

Made me cry the first time I heard it and still makes me get serious and gloomy. The lyrics hit so hard, even as someone who grew up in a quite different environment from her.
This perfectly encapsulates the struggle I faced when I was younger and I was trying to figure out my sexuality. I genuinely thought: "Only boys feel this way about girls, and I'm not a boy, so I can't feel like this". I was so confused about my feelings about my friend (now fiancée), and fought hard to push everything down. Lockdown was what gave me time to finally work through my own internalized homophobia, and make peace with the fact that I'm bisexual. It also reminds me of the first time I fully realized that I like women. I was doing makeup for a woman I had a SERIOUS crush on, and I just remember wanting to kiss her so badly and it took me by surprise, because I hadn't allowed myself to truly feel anything for women I liked at that point. It was the first time I didn't have that little voice in my head telling me I can't like women though, so it was nice to have that freedom! I still struggle at times with internalized homophobia, which sucks to deal with, but I'm working through it day by day. I hope one day I won't have it anymore!
My connection to Ashnikko's music is like extremely intense, I sometimes can't even listen to it because it's like why are we communicating telepathically right now
I would love to see a music video for this song. It's so personal and alive it really hits different than the other songs from this album. OMG THEY BETTER PLAY THIS IN THE MALLS ITS SO VIBEY
This song took me to my 7-8th grade year…. & my first crush
I would love to see a music video for this song. It's so personal and alive it really hits different than the other songs from this album. This is definetly the new begining for you as an artist and im here for it but i certainly hope you retain that wild, unpredictable and completely controversial attitude in your music as it matures with you
Me too this is one of my favorite songs on the album
This makes me unbelievably happy and it goes incredibly hard!
I relate to "no one's got me but me" so much omg this song is a bop but it hits you right in the feels
