I looked into the SS360's before buying the Carnivores. I think they'd work awesome but there generally isn't much snow where we unload and not sure I'd trust a 2ply tire in rocks/dirt.
I just put the carnivores on my x3. Have yet to try them in the snow. As much as I did not care for the stock big horns they handled fairly well in the snow. Good vid 👌
The carnivores are great in just about every terrain, best snow tire I've ran. Bighorns for a stock tire aren't bad but they should be 32's haha. Thanks for watching!

what go pro mount do you use for the center roll cage bar in the windshield area? I've been looking for that exact set up! Awesome video man! I just got 30" Maxxis Carnivores myself and love them.
Yes but not sure the weight would be good on the clutch/transmission. I'd rather air down and attempt to float but the snow in this video just wasn't ideal.
@@McCurdyOutdoors that's true, I work on sxs and dirtbikes. They have a tire out that you can stud on the fly. I think rocky Mountain sells the stud kit. I just can't remember the tire manufacturer

I thought of building a small polished aluminum V-plow mounted just 2inches below the skid plate infront of my machine. To slide the snow off the V-plow so the skid plate is clearing snow and the wheels can bite into the ground. Quick mounted. Easy on easy off. V-plow height 6-8inch, width wide enough to clear the front wheel width.
Lol you are the guys digging up our snowmobile trails. Now I know who you are. I live in Meridian. Good fun video. Its too early to snowmobile anyway. This time of year is trash you sled season.

Footage of you killing a deer would have ben amazing.
Lol it would have been pretty good, not gonna lie. Might start turning them on right off the bat now.
With deadlocks I would air down in that type of snow to like 4 pounds
We aired down a lot more this last ride. Video just went up a few hours ago.

I believe that, I would have stayed in the House for the Winter!
Haha 👍
Lol
Tracks work much better than tires in snow. I've got 2 machines with Tracks and I wouldn't trade them for tires in the winter.
I'd buy a sled before tracks but that's just me. We enjoy the challenge but will improve for next year.
Me: Sees thumbnail.
Also me: That's what she said!
Lmao!
I think the Carnivores were the clear winner here...
Haha yep. Were riding today, gonna air down more and see what happens. Got a couple more machines with us today.
Cool to find your channel! I live in vale Oregon! Do a lot of riding in the owyhees, prairie city area, sumpter, and council area with my uncles.

In snow you have to float and scoop not dig and cut
I'm aware...was testing at 8psi

The throttle is your friend. By all means use it.
Depends on the tire and air pressure it seems haha
Thats awesome ‼️ 👍😉😀
Less air less throttle, ull crawl right thru .....
We'll air down more next ride and hopefully float a bit more. The gopro doesn't show how steep some of those areas are.
Awesome video. Work screwed me or I would have gone. Maybe next time, just not next week. I’m on call.
All good, think were goin Nov30
So which tire do you think did best?
I'm biased towards the Carnivore. Think they both did pretty good. Next trip we'll air down to 4-5psi and hopefully be in better snow.

Do you think that chains would have made much difference?
No. Better to air down and attempt "floating". Would add a ton of stress to the clutch as well.

I think your better off with bigger tires at real low psi than pushing any amount of snow. Just my 2 cents.
