    Your point about the joy of throwing is exactly right. I'm 70 plus and still can't wait to get to practice this afternoon. It will be the high point of my day!

    I'm only a high school thrower right now but your videos have helped so much over the past year even allowing me to go to States. Thank you so much for continuing to make videos.

    Nice thoughts on over stressing yourself in the weight room. My best javelin throws came after an injury and I could not lift weights for a month. My arm and associated muscles had healed and my next meet I threw my best ever. So rest and lengthening are just as important as the hard muscle training

    Awsome video of different approaches of saying the same idea of a perfect throw. Also, enjoyed seeing you at Richmond. You'll get 66m, keep at it🤟

    Your stability is amazing Jordan ! Although you lose momentum when you spin in the end after you throw discus... More spins means less efficiency...

    I was wondering what do you guys do to take care of your body like when you have aches and pains?

    • @LifeofJY
      @LifeofJY  3 года назад +1

      Anything and everything. Ice, heat, stretch, rehab, massage, physical therapy, chiropractor, hot tub, sauna, rest, brace, tape. Every injury takes different methods to recover and it takes learning your body through trial and error for what works best on specific things. The key is ACTUALLY doing rehab for potentially a couple hours a day depending on the injury and trying things. Eventually you learn

    Guessing game! How far do you think I throw? I am 6 foot 245 pounds. My freshman year in college and I throw for a D3 school?

      I’d say slow it down and try to throw 5-10 meters and take like 1000 throws and provided you’re thinking about it you should start to get a feeling. Getting a lot of reps and truly understanding how the discus moves and flies can pretty much only be done with thousands of throws
