I, however, am an older person who wants to publish reflections and poetry, portraits of interesting people, very short stories including a couple for children,....nothing long or involved...I'm also not that informed about computer processes though one of my sons may be able to help me. I probably need to have someone give opinions on my writing....ans how to distribute/ market it.....
Great information, however I found out there is so much more like-Getting a copyright from the government, ISBN #s, putting in the front matter, the back matter, the Blurb, and book description. When I thought I was ready to publish, It took me 5 more months because of what I didn't know. I have watched at least 30 of your videos because I understand the information you put out better. Next I will have to take your formatting course.
Would this work for a picture books with hand drawn art, printed papers,tags, cards, bookmarks for cutting out to apply to journals, scrapbooks etc, thank you for any help.
I was considerate of metadata and search terms, and my self-published book still does not show up to page ten and beyond of Amazon, using the search terms. Also, it's hard to get a new book noticed or reviewed by people. All the reviewers for my religious/spiritual genre of books are 'booked.'
Setting up meta data is just one piece of the puzzle. They tend to work better when you also do things to marketing and drive sales, then the book gets pushed up in the algorithm.
