Another brilliant video Matt has a ex zebra finch and foreign bird breeder cant wait for the zebra visit and if you now any with Gouldians even better all the best 👍
Hi Carl, I love gouldians, have had a couple of pairs in the past and to be honest may do again in the future
Good stuff! I thought the question on pairing was well answered, ie make a list and cross off if not "clicking". Birds someties look mature and ready when they may not be...Thanks again,
Awesome Matt. Another episode yippee. Was getting some withdrawal symptoms . Not all your episodes are on RUclips. Great as always. Well done .d keep them coming please.

Hi Matt, great show 👍

Thanks
Fansy birds very good
Just finished watching for a second time.... and yes, I have questions! :D When I get the wording right, I'll post it to your Facebook page! Your birds look happy and healthy... just as they should! What possibilities for the up coming breeding season!
I enjoyed the interviews with other breeders, but, really, I am enjoying meeting your birds and seeing your care techniques. There is always something new to try! :D
Look forward to the questions Debbie, glad you enjoyed it
Great as always
Thanks Nigel
Great stuff
please add Indonesian subtitles, because I am weak in English🙏🙏👍
Hi Matt, hope you are well and safe,I wonder could you tell me what size rings do I put on Redpoll mules ....i have a CINNAMON Redpoll cock going with an Irish fancy canary hen.the reason I ask is I normally breed Irish fancy canaries but I got this Redpoll off a friend of mine who knows nothing about birds,he caught it in his garden shed, and thought of me,so I am going to try mule with him. Thanks for your time and stay safe.
Hi Sean, all well here thanks hope you and yours are too? Basic principle with ringing mules is to use the ring size of the bigger bird, lesser redpolls are a B size ring, Mealy redpolls are C size ring. I believe that Irish fancy are size E so I’d be inclined to use an E size. Hope that helps
Hi mate I’ve learnt a lot from your videos I’m looking to start up with canaries what would you suggest please
There’s plenty of variety of canaries, and they range in price. Pick a breed you like, and decide if the show side is for you or you just want to keep them for pleasure
The Canary Room thank you very much what breed would you suggest to start off with as from watching your videos Norwich and other breed need experience thanks for replying Matt
Are the specialist seeds from Shane?
These particular ones weren’t on this occasion Nigel, I got them from Essex Bird Centre and easyyem ecs
Hi Matt,
What is the best medication for canary liver disease please ?
Thanks
Hi Danny, I’m not an expert in medicines I’m afraid so wouldn’t want to recommend one specifically, is there a problem you’re having?
@@TheCanaryRoom thanks for your reply
Yes unfortunately one of my canaries has got liver problem .
Can I put a finch with my male canary ...and must it be a female ?
Depends on what you want to do, if you’re looking to breed mules in most cases, with the exception of the greenfinch, you use a male finch and a hen canary, with greenfinches you use a male canary and hen greenfinch.
If you’re just looking to put two birds together I’d avoid keeping to males as, often, when they come in to breeding condition they can become aggressive
@@TheCanaryRoom he’s a pet canary who sings beautifully but I’m concerned he’s lonely so I’m wondering can I get a female zebra finch to be his companion .?...
A cock male canary will be ok on his own
Do you happen to have a model to go by for the border CANARY?
Try the border convention website
where did your purchase the cages from
I had them made by a gentleman called David Rands
