Cincinnati Ohio, has certainly had some of the best of best when it comes to newscast and entertaining. It's a special city with so much history. I haven't been back since 1983. So much change as I been told in 2017. And the rebirth of OTR. Truly wonderful to know. Thank you.
your father was an institution.. i was a kid and grew up watching him...he was a class act... now im in television in LA, and never forgot these memories.. thank you
I spent too many years in TV and in Cincy (at WKRC 1985-91) to not recognize true talent. It must be hereditary! Loved seeing so many people I knew as well. Hope you get funded!
Hopefully you get a chance to complete this documentary at some point. I'm a huge fan of Jerry Springer when he was young, as mayor then as a news anchor on WLWT, I spotted him in a teeny clip from 1984.
Not sure why I'm just now seeing this comment, but thank you. Still hoping to drum up financial support :) You did spot him from his WLWT days, his is also one of the voices at the beginning, during the vocal montage.
Welcome, I'd actually even be willing to try and help any way I could if possible, maybe some other fans would too? Yeah, I actually have that same clip (in way less good quality) from a Biography. Also curious if you have that newscast or any other retro clips of him?
Do you have any episodes of the TV version of Jon Arthur's children's program, No School Today, featuring Big Jon and Sparkie? It ran for 13 weeks, from December 1952 to early 1953. It was directed by Abe Cowan, produced by Don Poynter, and written by Jon Arthur and Don Kortekamp on WCPO.
No Gavin, I'm sorry I can't help you with that. But you might call WCPO directly and ask them. They still have an extensive archives department from what I understand.
Thank you! I loved all of these shows! Paul Dixon winning a 2 cent emery board!! Woo! LOL! Uncle Al, batty hatty... so many memories!
So many really wonderful people to remember. Thank you, Mary Jo! Cheers.

Lovely piece of work. Truly.
Thank you, that's nice (and encouraging) to hear :)
I think I worked at the library with you at UC back in the 80s? Anyway, happy memories and great videos!
Hi Fran, I did work at the DAAP Library for a couple years while in college at UC, good times!

Ms. Schottelkotte, maybe someday you can create a documentary about WEBN.

Was this a real film, or just something you put together? I'd like to see a full version of this
A full version of this idea has not yet been made. Thanks for the encouragement! So many great stories from that time.
