I recently watched 👀 some of your old videos to remind myself just how lucky we are this season compared to others.
I disagree. I'm going with Risner. With our WRs and Hockenson coming back, Darnold needs a clean pocket. Risner claims to be 100% so hopefully his run blocking improves.
That and look how many close calls with Sam being hurt
Play Hock at home vs. his old team, then make him inactive against the Rams. Have Mundt the 2nd te get his "revenge" on his former team

I hope these adjustments to the roster help us out. Bringing in an injury prone player to back up an injury prone player is interesting.
Start Risner!!!! Risner didn't give up a sack in 485 snaps last year. His run blocking might not be up to par, but he will protect the QB.

Darnold is getting pressured and sacked more than most quarterbacks. We need to find a way to protect him before we start worrying about star defensive players. I know it’s not a sexy pick, but we gotta tighten up that O line.
Thats because o'connel is ASKING the OLine to block for 3 4 5 seconds which is GOING to give up pressures if your attempting to block for that long.

conditional 30 slot swap in the 7th round is basically nothing. lost a jalen twyman but gained a levi drake rodriguez. But this is exactly the kind of shrewd depth moves i wanted. the chances are minute either pick is gonna be good or not.
on the 'ol risner front. Id say, depending on game situation, if we are ahead or behind in score marks who should play or who shouldnt for any given series. If we are playing from behind, put risner in, if we are playing from the lead keep ingram in there. Almost the entire line has experience now playing with both players, shouldnt be a problem getting calls correct at the line. i say why not

My thing is....risner is probably equal to ingram in run blocking which is sub par....but risner is pretty effective in the pass game while ingram gets bullied, seems like a no Brainer to start risner?
It’s simple, if we are going to pass significantly more than we run, we should play the best pass blocker at RG. Seems logical to me anyway

I'm gonna have to disagree with you on Dalton risner take cause we need solid protection for sam Darnold so we don't have to worry about him getting hurt so we have to rely on the backup not to say that protecting Aaron Jones is important but I would say protecting sam darnold is more important than that and Dalton riser has that skill set of pass blocking.
I hope we get Dexter Lawrence I know Giants fans will be made but you should consider long term plans vs Short Term. While, Dexter Lawrence is valuable right now. If, we give you guys 2 first rounders you get plethora of young talent Plus you save 25 million a year, every year after this year. Which, would allow you guys to make some splashes in free agency. You, would have over 70 million next year, plus a 150 million in 2026 and beyond. You, could potentially have a much better roster then you do know unlike if you keep him what good will it serve Long-term. It'd, be a win-win for both teams. I'm not trying to to convince you I'm just pointing out some things to think about.

Risner is a first ballot HOF compared to Ingram. Who care if he doesn't open up lanes. Neither does anyone else. Vikings haven't had a roadgrader since Loadholt. And that was a long long time ago.
