Hm, unfair, i think. Shouldn´t you do that at same volume? Subjective: louder is better. If i normalise both, i think the Fender does have a little more clarity and is less boomy. But not a huge difference. Exept that the DiMarzio does have a much hotter output. What isn´t always a great thing. For Example i have to be careful how much output i give in my OC-2 because it distorts very early. And i think thats an issue especial with vintage effects or gear in general. But thanks for doing it.
Hi you are absolutly right. More volumen fools the ear. But that is part of the truth. Die DiMarzio is louder. This don´t has to mean better. That is your decision. You can´t normalise the sound when using the amp. The input gain will be higher when using the DiMarzio. So your amp will sound different. I think a comparision is only fair, if i don´t change anything in the recording chain. It´s just a neutral a vs. b video, it´s not meant to be a pro Dimarzio advertising.
Short and sweet. Gets the job done. Nice one.
Nice, a little less highs , little more mids and hotter output. The original pickup is not bad either, it has a little better definition.
Of course the recording was made even with the same bass, before and after changing the PU
I like stock more
DiMarzio has more output volume. Great!
excuse me, isn't it a DiMarzio DP146? The DP120 is a humbucker.
Hi, your absolutly right. Sorry for this mistake and thank you for the advice. I changed it.
