One of the best moments in reality TV history. Definitely the best TV moment to come out of quarantine. When Ms. Mendez revealed herself (AGAIN) I stood up and ran out of the room screaming. Kudos to whatevvvvver producer came up with that idea!!!!!! Sooooo good.
its the best show. and anthony anderson does a great job. the one last night was great too. there was this olympic diver all 4 people got wrong.the entire panel almost passed out.
there was another like that a few years back: the guy was a drag queen named Kevin Farrell, and then in the final round he dressed up like a guy! But If you want to see some more cool reveals, go and watch classic games shows such as this show, What's My Line, and I've got a secret!
This was THE BEST episode of this show that ever aired! I was on the floor with the contestants when I first saw it and prayed there would be more shows like it, with fun surprises. Good Lord- Genius!!!
I’m here for D’Arcy Carden’s incredible reaction to Elvira. This was genius on the producers part and something they do well - place an imposter that is well known but the panel is distracted and doesn’t pick up on it.
I'm a big fan of Cassandra Peterson and her Elvira character so I recognized her immediately. Feeling pretty smug about my knowledge I was surprised none of the celebrity panelists recognized her and was eagerly anticipating their reactions. However, I didn't recognize Mendez as the "Mistress of Disguise" and was absolutely floored by her moment of reveal. Yeah, this double whammy moment was a little bit of TV history.
I jumped off of my couch and ran out of the room screaming at the final reveal. I refer to it as the BEST PUNCHLINE OF 2020 and I've recommended the episode to more people than I can remember. The setup! The perfect amount of time between her first appearance and her reveal. This was PEAK comedy and I'm not gonna lie-- I remember it and laugh maybe once or twice a week.
Incidentally this is the type of round To Tell the Truth loves to do. There's one game where the two imposters were the disguised sons of two of the panelists! Neither recognized their children until the reveal.
Favorite to tell the truth moment ever! I knew who She was in the first round, I had seen her before in youtube videos, and watching back so t know how I missed it, lol. And I have never seen Elvira without her makeup, so I didn’t recognize her.
I can look at this two different ways: First, this was one of the best reveals in televisions history. At the same time, though, I'm a little bothered the members of the celebrity panel didn't recognize Cassandra Peterson. Alphonso, for example, should have recognized her immediately. Elvira launched in 1981 and was airing nationally by the mid-1980's, the very same time Alphonso's career was starting to take off. It's hard to believe they never crossed paths.
I don't know how anyone did not know that Cassandra Peterson is Elvira and also what she looks like. i guess I am a bit bias, I have been a huge fan since I was a kid and I used to work with her
TTTT has pulled surprises like this before. In 1963 one imposter with a bag over his head, claiming to be a Russian spy, was in fact comedian Henry Morgan, a regular on I’ve Got a Secret. Three panelists voted for him.
This is NOTHING! Back in 1963, Henry Morgan from I've Got A Secret stumped the ENTIRE PANEL of TTTT after they suspected him of being a Russian spy! The contestants wore bags over their faces
honestly i never expected that, she died her hair, old person glasses and an freakin' cardigan sweater! as i kid i always pictured her as the sexy morticia from adams family.
There was an episode 50 years ago featuring an undercover detective...the imposters were panelist Kitty Carlyle and Joe Garagiola's sons. That was way better than this
I tried watching this show for the first time last night. Aug.17/2020, and was totally appalled at the host and his black guests ridicule white people in what would be considered racist comments if the shoe was on the other foot. Up yours TTTT!
Jesse, I am African American, and sadly I must agree with You here. ABC*, The Network owned by Disney* and is supposed to be (mostly) 'Family Friendly' and fair to other Races, and yet this is what They want Us to believe is right and acceptible? Comic/Actor Anthony Anderson and His Mother are definitely not needed to continue this Classic Game Show. Everytime I watch Them, I can't help but cringe whenever They start talking in such Stereotypical Racist Ways, which always makes Me embarrassed to be an African American! Things can only get better once the Producers finally remove Anthony and His Mother and find a Host who will not compromize 'To Tell The Truth'!
They look like they've been hit by Burlington Northern Santa Fe, Union Pacific, Metrolink and to add the cherry on top: Caltrain and Amtrak all in one take
As a game show, I find it boring, in all eras. I have sampled this version a few times. Anderson does nothing for me as host. I'm sure I'm in the minority on that. I'm sure most viewers think he's hilarious. The celebrity panel: Game shows often draw D-list celebs, but I don't even know who three of these people are by name. I don't read a lot of celebrity gossip, and I get it, Tom Hanks isn't going to be on the show, but the only name I know is Alfonso, and I'm not a fan of him, either. That over-reaction during the reveals by the celebs.... looks fake to me. ABC doesn't need me, I get it, so go for the wackiness and ridiculousness, that'll draw a few million on a summer night. Good enough, these days.

It's a game show not a reality show another thing Fremantle has ruined
Oh I know! It was such a great gotcha!
Behold, I am the Master of Disguise!
*puts on a single wig*.......perfection!
And makeup..
Clark Kent😎
for some reason, I kept looking at her wig whenever she was on camera, and it seemed like she was hiding something.
And makeup. And no glasses. And the scarf and sweater.
OMG
This was THE BEST episode of this show that ever aired! I was on the floor with the contestants when I first saw it and prayed there would be more shows like it, with fun surprises. Good Lord- Genius!!!
I hope they bring D'Arcy Carden back as a semi-regular. All through the show she seemed to be having such a good time and was very fun to watch.
you're in luck, she'll be in the September 12th episode
I’m here for D’Arcy Carden’s incredible reaction to Elvira. This was genius on the producers part and something they do well - place an imposter that is well known but the panel is distracted and doesn’t pick up on it.
when they did it with pee wee herman i actually spat out my water and went "NO WAY." i love this show
I’m so glad you guys uploaded this. Me and mom were so shocked!
Elvira looked so good.
“I am the Master of Disguise.”
*removes a press-on nail* 😆

That is the biggest OMG moment in the history of to tell the truth
go watch Henry Morgan stump the panel in 1963
@@justrelax1539 "Brought to you by Cigarettes" lmfao
i dunno, rupaul appearance was also pretty OMG the stuff he answered.
I agree 👍

I've seen that game
@@MyGuyJustinH Like it was back even to the Bud Collyer days of the show. Oh those Fremantle people!
Which episode was that and who were they?
@@mazrimtaim1
it’s this one in 1973. sons of kitty carlisle and joe garagiola

What really shocked me was that #2 was the woman from the first game. Although I would never had guessed #3 was Elvira.
I noticed Cassandra Peterson right away...
I did too
But did you recognize contestant #2
@@mikedupont3585 I didn't. So much fun to watch!
I actually had a feeling Imposter Number 3 seemed familiar to me. As soon as she said her name I immediately knew who she was.
I met Cassandra Peterson at Spooky Empire Tampa. I knew she looked familiar on this show. I'm like #3 is a celebrity. That was so cool.
This was one of the best TTTT moments ever.

One of the best moments in game show history.
Had the privilege to meet and receive an autograph from Cassandra in person while on a rare book tour date in New York a few years ago.

go watch Henry Morgan from I've got a secret stump the ENTIRE TTTT panel back in 1963! They accused him of being a Russian spy! Really funny
It’s kinda hard to recognize her all dressed-down. That’s not how you remember her. Plus, you just would not expect to see her there.
@@tylerkochman1007 That's what I was saying. It would be hard to recognize her because she wasn't dressed up
bump into someone you knew 40 years ago and see if you instantly recognize them dressed out of costume.
I knew right away which woman have birth to her grandchild 😇🙌🎉💚 as it is so cool the real back stories of the other ladies
I love D’Arcy Carden so much 😊💜
She's my celebrity crush!!
mcitaly07 lol nice! She is my idol💜
I've been in love with Elvira since I was 9 I spotted Cassandra when she first came out😍😍😍🥰
This is my favorite episode. My family and I, we all tripped out.
This is my favorite episode, too.
I love it when the panel completely loses it during reveals
I still have this saved on my dvr & watch it time to time for this very scene.
This was the greatest moment in Truth HISTORY!!!
I picked number 2 and believe me, I was in shock and screwed. LOL
The disguise one omgosh!!! 😂😂
This needs way more views.
Beautiful my favorite episode 😍❤💕💖💗
Best reveal EVER!!!
One of the best moments in the storied history of TTTT!
And to #3.......THANK YOU for ELVIRA!
🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
ELVIRA!!!!
Andy Anderson is so damn charming and handsome. Such a role model i love it
It's been almost 40 years and Cassandra still looks hot. I watched an episode of CHIPS the other day and she was in it, very cool!
Not the first time one of the guests from a prior round crashes another round 😆
I don't know how anyone did not know that Cassandra Peterson is Elvira and also what she looks like. i guess I am a bit bias, I have been a huge fan since I was a kid and I used to work with her
What was it like to work with her? I hear she's extremely nice.
I'm shocked nobody recognized Elvira
😂😂
I recognized Cassandra Peterson immediately, especially with her voice.
I love it 😊
I had a feeling #3 was famous, but I would have never guessed that's who she was
Everyone was like.. SHUT UP NOOOOOOOOOOO 😅😅
Dang. I knew that was Elvira as soon as she took her glasses off.

I knew it was Elvira pretty quickly but didn’t get #2 even though there was something off about her

Cassandra still looks good!
something seemed very off about number 2. I kept looking at her "hair" the whole round, and felt like she was hiding something.
Anyone have the season and ep #?
It’s crazy what a wig, a change of makeup and removing glasses can do…
The applauses at the first... Peak degeneracy.
Wow Elvira still looks great
