Saw The Bees last night in the shire of Leicester. Absolutely spot on. The musicianship of all of them is top notch. 43,777 views for this vid. It deserves so much more! Not commercial enough for some people though.
I first discovered the Bees at glastonbury in 2004, my friend and I were wandering and we chanced upon their gig, never heard them before and we danced and bounced our asses off. Bought both their albums later that week and they've been one of my favourite bands ever since! 'Octopus' was a stunning album and I can't wait to hear more from them!! Actually, does anyone know their current location/situation? Haven't seen or heard anything in a while.
They come from the Isle of Wight (UK), as for when they are off to the USA, have no idea. Saw them at the back end of last year in the Albert Tavern, Southsea, what a great gig, no stage, just them and what seemed to be about 100 people dancing around!
I'm glad to hear the good reviews. saw them in the Fleece in Bristol coupla years ago and they were freakin awful! Especially after having recommended them to about 12 mates off the back of the 1st album. Their studio work really does hit the button though, so I've stayed faithful and will see them again soon, hopefully. i know they carry a 'certain' image around with them but maybe they've learnt to keep it until after the gig so that they can actually play it?

Great song altho the new album isn't a patch on Free the Bees. It's quite poor actually.
