- The purpose of me requesting they react to songs like these is just to expose them to music they may or may not have heard before, to expand their horizons and to sate my curiosity over whether they will like them or not. As such I don't really care about likes/dislikes on these video postings or even the popularity of my channel or theirs for that matter.
Also nothing is monetized on my channel so I make no money from posting them, they do these for me and I just post them here in case other people are curious what they think of these songs too after they send me them and I have watched them myself. The song was jointly written by Tasmin Archer and John Hughes. It is about the failure to follow up on the Apollo lunar landings (Eagle was the call name of the Apollo 11 lunar lander). They had read a magazine article about how humanity’s expansion into space was essential for its survival. The song is asking if we went to the Moon too soon and for the wrong reasons and missed out on the chance to save our world. Heavy stuff!

First heard this about 30 years ago, and I still don't understand some of the lyrics! "I blame you for the moonlit nights, when I wonder why, are the seats still dry?" and "great instavent-owh-owh!"
Haha good effort. I never paid much attention to the lyrics when it first came out but now I’m realising it’s a song about going to the moon (and not returning since) “… are the seas still dry?” As in - the dry “seas” on the moon e.g. Sea of Tranquility. The other lyric is “man’s greatest adventure woah!”
I'm guessing ashtyn and Jon split up? Their newest vids are a year old.
