The large building is the breeding Giraffe House, behind it is the bachelor giraffe House and hay barn. The other large building is the house for zebra, antelope and ostrich. The huts are going on the part of ground next to the main road, but planning isn't finalised yet so work can't start yet.
Thanks, i enjoyed that. MC Phillips who are engaged on the construction wrote on their site: "The new African zone will be built on approximately 8 acres of existing land at the zoo and will bring together a range of different habitats from savannah to bush land to rich plains. It will be home to multiple rare and endangered species including giraffes, zebra, ostrich and antelope". Think its still planned for a 2025 opening. Originally, there was to be chalets and even a hotel in the planning stages. Obviously the relication of giraffes frees up their long-standing area, where it was muted lowland gorillas may someday occupy that area.
@stuartmcintosh9886 for the most part. There's a section by the bat bridge, and one by the islands in danger. I think there may also be one section still standing by the aviaries, over the footpath.

As you say, Nick, still a bit of a puzzle but it doesn't look like it will remain a mystery for much longer. Good timing all the same from you.
Alton Towers flyover would be great. The theme park community is gargantuan!...
I enjoyed that, makes a nice change to see something different

Estimated opening date is spring 2025

Will the monorail be extended?
The monorail was dismantled years ago
Cheers, shows how long since I've been! @@M12_TDE
@@seansalmon1977It's a shame. You could extend the few remaining pieces, because there are like, 2 or 3 sections still standing.
The monorail is now long gone
