Even though it was recorded back in 2014 I'm still very proud of how it turned out and love it just as much as the day it was released if not more so with how many humans we've connected with because of it.

Fun fact! In some mythologies, sirens are harpies that lost their wings and fell to the sea. So technically ‘fish inside a birdcage’ makes sense if it’s talking about a siren lol
There's a Filipino fantasy series where the chosen one main character can turn into a mermaid, a harpie, and a centaur, ruling over land, sea, and air. Not mythology related but just something cool to tell you. The story isn't good plot-wise and of course the special effects are sloppy, which to me a good concept don't deserve.

Didn't expect this cover of all things, but man I'm happy about it. This is such an amazing song, I've always adored it and its original animation, and the animation in yours is so wonderful, loving the colors!
Stars above, this is fantastic! I adore this song and hearing you sing it is just amazing!! The artwork is stunning and the opening verses gave me absolute chills!! Your crisp enunciation of the verse after the first chorus was so intriguing and had almost a chilling effect, it was incredible! Not to mention the overlapping vocals brought so much depth to the piece!! And then the vulnerability of the "I'm counting on you" was completely palpable, stars above, incredible job Caleb! Your works are always such wonders, thank you so much for another gorgeous cover!

Very good cover of a very good song. Gauging the track of good taste, and presuming you even read these comments for recommendations, I'd suggest looking into bands like The Family Crest (In Your Arms Tonight; Howl), Animal Sun (Girl in Blue), and Tally Hall/Cojum Dip (Moon Waltz). I also discovered Burn the Ballroom (Kiss Me You Animal; Whisper) right around when I was getting into these bands, but it's not the same vibe (more of a Panic! or MCR peer). Hope to maybe see if any of these crop up on your channel in the next few months!

It actually is not from a musical! It is by an artist of the same name (Fish in a Birdcage). If you liked this cover, I highly suggest giving them a look to listen to some other songs! The artist themself has a wide range of tones in their repertoire.
