Just finished season 2 of the missing and I’m disgusted with myself for not watching it sooner. Absolutely loved it and Baptise is the dad I wished I’d had.

@@mikekaraoke There is a difference between working for many decades and being famous and successful. I wish he could collaborate with astonishing directors and world class actors. He deserves as much. And i wish he could be more recognized in America and in Europe.

Ah, insults. The last refuge of a man who lacks the intelligence, the maturity, the creative mind and the fertile imagination to conceive strong arguments in order to win any confrontation. Thank you, dear sir, for reminding me that this world is filled with incompetent, immature, rude, self centered, arrogant and simple-minded folk, who most desperately seek attention when they are not worthy of standing out from the crowd, thus they succumb to insults in order to get people to pay attention. Sad, miserable and pathetic..
So, your arguments were old movies, forgotten films, decades ago in matter of fact, in which Tcheky co-starred, or had a minor role, with minimum to medium box office success, and even less so artistic one. Is that the best you can do? Please, refrain from answering that. It was a sarcastic and a rhetoric question.
For, yes, Michael Bay is a brilliant example of quality. And a best case scenario, mediocre James Bond film, is a beautiful example to support your ridiculous claim. And the list goes on. ''Addicted to love''. I would not have mentioned an indifferent film to support my case. ''The Patriot'''. He was not even a leading man.
A successful performer is Christopher Waltz. Don't get me wrong, he has made some awful films. But the greatest majority of people know him. This performer.. is unknown to that majority.
Whilst it's fair to say he hasn't reached the dizzy heights of Tom Cruise he has enjoyed steady acting work for quite some time. You ask any actor, they'll tell that steady work that doesn't make you rich is far better than not making a living from something you're truly passionate about.
He's played prominent roles in some major blockbusters and Baptiste seems to be gaining him even more recognition. Who knows where that will lead.
Tcheky is also a musician so there's every chance he's held himself back in his acting career so that he can focus on more than one creative outlet.

I remember seeing Tchéky Karyo for the first time, playing Defence Minister Dmitri Mishkin in GoldenEye, from 1995. He was a brilliant actor then, and he is still a brilliant actor today! It was an absolutely wonderful series and I cannot wait until the second Baptiste season comes out.
If you manage to find La Femme Nikita in French with subtitles, by filmmaker Luc Besson (Leon, The 5th Element...), be sure to give it a try. It's his best role.
