      In Texas anyone can be up for parole at 30 years regardless of the sentence. He deserved that however a 90 year sentence would not have mandated a 45 parole date. It would still cap at 30.

      Finally caught and given upwards of 16 years. The lawyers appealed on the grounds that the sentence was "manifestly excessive". He won the appeal and sentence was reduced to something like 10 years.

You end up catching other crimes ~ fights with knives, Riots, conflicts, it doesn’t mean you get out. He would have 5 counts at 5 years for 25 years. However another person does credit card fraud for 5000 at 1 place only getting 1 count of grand theft gets the same 5 years. The person who stole more money would get a less sentence if concurrent didn't exist.

    60 years, plus 20 years to be served concurrently. oh, btw..... you'll be eligible for parole after 20 years. I hate our 'judicial' system. Never thinking of the victims or their families.

      It was 40 plus 20, but you're right to hate the system. Concurrent sentences is a free pass on the shorter sentence.

    Based on the brief details shown here:
    - He premeditated the deletion of someone
    - went to that person's "home."
    - he actually arrived to the wrong address
    - recklessly deleted one person and injured another at the wrong address
    - he receives concurrent sentences, and this brings it down to 20 years
    He sought to delete someone (strike one), went to the wrong home (strike two), and mayhem ensued where the value of an innocent life deleted (strike three) only equates to this: 20 years.
    Makes sense (sarcasm).

    • @tvc1848
      @tvc1848 9 месяцев назад

      He received a 40 year sentence, not 20.
      He is eligible to go in front of a parole board 20 years from now.
      And while the point is well taken, there is no premeditated crime in Texas.
