    What is the point of sanding the surface? And what happens if you don't sand it? I'll be working on a yeti, and all I'm doing is putting a name on it. I'm not doing full coverage with rhinestones.

      They will pop off. Just like if you go to a nail salon and they slightly sand and buff off the shiny layer of the nails. It's for better adhesion. Hope this helps as I see this is a old comment.

    Hi good and hard job. I feel so intimidated by all the process and I might just skip to the rhinestone part. Can you give advice how to rhinestone only on vinyl without all the sealing and coating of epoxy and even it is possible?
    And if I buy from AliExpress or eBay will the rhinestone ll be good quality ?

    • @allthingsallhappy
      @allthingsallhappy  11 месяцев назад

      You can lightly sand the vinyl and just glue and place. You want to make sure you somehow seal all the vinyl edges down so it doesn’t lift when it gets in water. Yes Ali express rhinestones/ebay/amazon all work. I have them too in case you can’t find the color you need. Use code RUclips for a discount 😊

    • @allthingsallhappy
      @allthingsallhappy  11 месяцев назад

      You can. Just want to make sure you only use a bit because you don’t want to see it when it dries

    Hello, I absolutely love your video...Thank you for telling how much epoxy you use in ml. I also loved how you showed how to correct the mistake with the name and redo it. The close up while adhering the rhinestones were awesome. Along with the technique to wait and wash the rhinestone area with a sponge several days later to ascertain if any of them come off and wash away glue. Do you pat down all of the Rhinestones when you are done. I am going to have this video on while I attempt to epoxy a tumbler and put my name on it. Thank you , again this was awesome.

    I've never used epoxy resin before. What kind of epoxy resin did you use and where did you purchase? Also, did you use two types of epoxy resin?

    • @allthingsallhappy
      @allthingsallhappy  Год назад

      Hi. I use the aluminite brand. I purchased it from Michael’s. I do use two different types. My first coats I use the quick coat because it dries quickly. But I finish it with the clear cast plus because of the uv protection. Keeps it from yellowing
