- The women's competition may be the fiercest it has ever been. The top five women from last year promise to put on a show as they battle for the podium again, while a slew of impressive rookies look to at least crash the top-10 party.
With the 2018 Reebok CrossFit Games just one week away, the Update Show crew breaks down who among these female phenoms has a legitimate chance of standing on the podium.
Will the Dottirs overtake the Aussies? Will Tia-Clair Toomey repeat as champion? Or will a promising rookie like Amanda Barnhart or Laura Horvath shake up the leaderboard and earn the title of Fittest Woman on Earth?

I hope it's Sara's year but I wouldn't mind seeing Tia winning it again.
Its crazy how close the women competition is. Literaly 10 women could win it

That's a statistically impossible task... to pick the top 10 men, top 10 women, and top 5 teams in order. Create a realistic challenge!
Jamie Greene is for sure one to watch. I’m going to go out on a limb and say she podiums this year.
I don't know, it's just hard to say with the competition being so stacked. My bet is that three of these 5 will be on the podium

Cross fit is a training program and fad, but I was referring to the Cross fit games which is a competition not a training program. As a competition it could be regarded as a sport but I wouldn't class it as one

She is good, but i don't think she will be the winner.
Camille is great at traditional crossfit. I don't think Camille will ever win the games again or even podium because of how the programming for the games is now. Regionals are pure crossfit which is why she always wins or comes close to. But lets not forget she just came back from a pretty bad shoulder injury, so yes, let's not under estimate her. She was 21st in 2017 because she had to withdraw due to an injury.
Tia will win again. Katrina is more about social media. Sarah doesn’t have a good cardio.
'Katrina' has won the Games twice already, and came out top when all the female performances from the regionals we combined this year. Not bad for somebody just 'about social media'.

If you really were able to pick the top 10 men AND top 10 women AND top 5 teams in *exact order* 2 Million dollars would be fucking joke.
Even if we assume that we already knew the 20 individuals placing 1-10 respectively and even if we were to disregard teams, we'd have a 1:2,432,902,008,176,640,000 chance of getting them into the right order.
