I loved seeing Joel and Olivia in all white! Being baptized is such a special day, and I'm so glad to have seen a slice of Olivia's day.
It's so interesting to watch you guys and see how different your religion is to the one I was raised in. In the Catholic Church we baptise our children as infants. Why do you do it when they're older?
We believe that children are innocent and really don't make sins until the age 8. At that time they can be held accountable for their actions. And so that's when we baptise them so they can repent for the mistakes they make, and make covenants with God. That just means that they promise to represent Him in all of their actions.
We get baptized when we are older so we can understand that we are committing our life to god and that we need to be accountable to our actions. Also so we can repent our sins.
Chistian protestans baptise their children as infants too

I'm not sure about Utah, but in Southern California police check points are usually during big holidays or something like the Eclipse mainly to make sure that no-one is drunk driving or driving under the influence of something else.

Oh Ellie and Jared. My heart was so overwhelmed with joy while watching just the first five minutes of your video. My husband and I are expecting our first baby- a little boy. Watching Jackson hop out of the car just tugged at my heart strings. I remember watching y'all announce that pregnancy. Oh they grow so fast!

Most people don't seem to realize that Total Eclipses happen about every 1 1/2- 2 years. Just occurs in different parts of the world. NO reason to freak out.
Ashley Koester people are very excited in the US and a lot of people (including Ellie and Jared it looks like) are traveling to the path of totality to see it. All hotels are booked and eclipse glasses are sold out everywhere! It's exciting!

That was so emotional watching Olivia getting baptised, I remember when I was baptised (I am Sister Rebekah Starbrook)in the lds church in fortworth Texas, cannot for the life of me remember which church, I was staying with my best friend Shannon and I was there 5 weeks ish had my lessons, I remember having my hair done like Olivia lol.. wish I could find my friend again, we are no long practicing and she split from her hubby and we lost contact.. really miss her.. love you guys, you look beautiful all of you..

There will be 224 solar eclipses in the 21st century, 68 will be total eclipses, the rest partial. Planet Earth experiences two every year. It is no big deal, it is just in the USA they don't seem to have that many. Australia has had many in my lifetime with no impact. There is nothing to worry about and really is no big deal. 🌒

Heaps of people are travelling for it to see it in totality, some people will only be able to see it in partial and others not at all so you can probably understand why it's such a big deal to people

We have random drug/alcohol police check points all of the time here in Australia, especially on Friday/Saturday nights coming out of major cities etc! I found it so funny that you were so amazed and worried about a police check in your area and we're just so used to them over here!!
