I could never get plastic surgery. Even if there are things about my face I dislike, it feels like if I change it I won't be "me" anymore.
When he said tell me if it's too painful, that would be my cue to leave, lol.
Looking back now. I now see the major progress you have made in learning other languages and also I see the difference in your physical appearance. It's been a long journey and I have been a small fan for years and I must say I enjoy your videos, they really showed me a lot of the culture and also I really enjoy the work you put into your videos.

I love that you open up about your cosmetic surgery. I also know it´s pretty common in your country- also it´s up to you to decide what to do to your body.

i can see the chin difference right away! it looks so good 😭 i know many ppl say "you're beautiful just the way you are" but some ppl may not feel that way about themselves, or may just want to make little changes! i don't see a problem with having things done to change your appearance (to an extent). anyway, i'm glad it went well, you look great!
I'm really interested in the architecture and style of buildings in Korea! I know it's different from your usual videos but a tour of buildings, apartment blocks, offices,etc in Korea would be really cool!

Here in the UK, these cosmetic treatments are not common! In fact, if you do it, people will sometimes judge and see you as "fake" or shallow/just interested in your looks. However, even though a small amount of people do it, that number of people is increasing.

In Malaysia,plastic surgeries are not really common because people dont really judge your face structure,people here dont care about big boobs and butts too..the important things are hygiene and appearance(means how do you wear)..however,cosmetic procedures are quite popular here..the fraxel laser and v-line are famous

I feel like in America its more ridiculed (ex Kylie Jenner’s lips) because of the ‘accept yourself as you are’ type movement. Which is a great movement, but i feel that if you feel confident and gorgeous that’s all that matters, with or without procedures.

itsjinakim yea, i would do the same if offered this. If something is keeping you from feeling confident, then do whatever to get that 100% confident feeling. No one has the right to be negative about what you do to get😊.
Not everyone likes big lips. I'm not a fan of them. Like, to me, plump/full lips look ridiculous. If someone wants to fix a perceived flaw on their face (or body), it's their body, no one should criticize. Just be sure to go to a reputable doctor. If he/she doesn't recommend a particular procedure because it could be dangerous or not right for you, take the doctors advice (you don't want to appear on those PS gone wrong videos, LOL).

Lil Shiba-su I don’t like the “enhancements” done by the Kardashian women and Kylie Jenner because I’m NOT a fan of big butts and plump/full lips. I don’t think they are attractive. Overly big boobs not good either (IMO). I prefer Asian concept of beauty. Slim body, slim butt and hips, small/medium size boobs.

This is the kind of surgery in which this treatment was designed for. Just enough but not to much.

The fat dissoling and laser procedures look so painful!!! you're brave girl! I'd like to get my skin treated but I'm not sure the pain is worth it for me ^^
anyway you're right to talk about it, it shouldn't be so taboo!
I'm just wondering if you need to do it just once or if the effects fades after some time and you need to re-do it again later.
2 years on, the V-shape face line still stays! Do you have to keep going back to get injections every now and then?
I tried the V-shape injection way back before 2016. It lasted a year. Judging by her face now (2021), I think she's maintaining the injections.

Such a pretty girl! 😊 It’s really NOT COMMON where I am from, and VERY EXPENSIVE! Sometimes even frowned upon in my particular place of origin- some other countries I grew up in, not so much-but it’s far less common than in Korea. ✌🏼& 💗

Is the fat removal permanent? Or do u have to go back to get more to maintain it?
Just wanted to let you know, the amount of plastic surgery Korea had is not as common anywhere else in the world. No country has as much plastic surgery. (In my opinion, feel free to disagree) I think Koreans are too self conscious, and that Koreans are beautiful the way they are born. That goes for you too Jina. That isn't to say that the plastic surgery didn't work, you still look great, but there was nothing wrong with you before!
ClassyFedoraLover2 actually plastic surgery are very normal in Brazil (when it comes to silicon [boobs and butt], nose, ears and cheeks). These are tho most popular plastic surgeries in Brazil.

Plastic surgery is huge in the U.S. I don't know where you live but almost everyone in LA got their nose reshaped. Rhinoplasty is the number 1 plastic surgery in the U.S then breast/butt implants. Just look at the kardashians and the teens who got "influenced" by them
I don't consider the procedures Jina got a big deal. She just got some treatment to make her skin look better (acne scar removal) and some injections to get rid of/reduce her double chin.
@cheryl lin I mean, you're statistically wrong. I'm not sure if you've ever been to South Korea, but it's literally part of the culture. It's not just something people think about for years and then get round to doing it, it's something they do because everyone else does it, or given as a graduation present - even if the person didn't ask for it in the first place.
Seoul is known as the plastic surgery capital of the world for a reason.
The plastic surgery culture is really quite interesting to read about, you should take a look into it.

Plastic surgery isn't common in my country ( Morocco ) , some would mock you saying you're insecure and others would bring religion in lol , but tbh I don't think it's wrong to want to look prettier m as long as it's not that extreme I'm cool with people doing it , so jealous you got it for free ahaha , it'd really cool though that you're showing us and not hiding it !

i know this sounds cliche but you are pretty anyway : ) plastic surgery is not common were i am from (central europe) but stuff like botox and HA injections, laser treatments etc. are normal IF you can afford them! i think they are much cheaper in SK : )

Hi! Honestly when I saw what they did to your face, I never thought it would be called "plastic surgery" (asside from the injections). For exemple, I skin is really red but my doctor said that the only way to make the redness leave is to do the laser. But I'm only 18 so it's too early and I'm afraid of laser (and since it cost a lot, I may never do it). Does it cost a lot if Korea?
In France (and in Europe in general I guess), it's not common and it's quite taboo. Like, if you tell your relative, I think the average will be quite schocked or saying things like "what are you saying! ". They will think of a lot of botox injection on the lip or People wanting big butt or big breast, and that's something People will judge. But for exemple a lot of girls from reality show (boys too maybe) did plastic surgery. In general people are quite judgmental about that

Don't be afraid of laser on your skin. You won't even see it being done. What's scary is getting laser on your eyes (lasik eye surgery), since you are awake while they do it and you can see the laser light. But actually, it's not as scary as you might think. Although not as complicated as lasik eye surgery, I had a laser Iridotomy on both of my eyes (burns a tiny hole in the iris so allow fluid to flow thru). They first give you anesthetic eye drops and then do the laser procedure. The doctor tells you to stay still and stare at a dot on the wall. You see a momentary light but don't feel any pain at all. Only took a second for each eye. Just be sure your doctor is licensed for the procedure and is experienced. A novice or unlicensed doctor may damage your skin if doesn't do the treatment correctly.

You are right, it isn't plastic surgery. :) Plastic surgery requires someone "to go under the knife." It is a surgical procedure and permanent. These are non-surgical procedures and will not last a lifetime. I tried V-shape botox injections before (2016). When I tried to tell some of my friends, some of them gossiped that I had a surgical procedure. It is appalling to me that there are still a lot of people that can't distinguish the difference between surgical and non-surgical procedure. Nevertheless, surgical or non-surgical, do what makes you happy. :)

This is super interesting to watch! Plastic surgery is done here in America but it's not often something done casually (but that may entirely be because I live in the Midwest). This is coming from someone who lives in Iowa but plastic surgery (unless it is reconstructive surgery because of disfigurement by a horrible accident say like in a fire or birth defect) isn't common and is something that's more associated with the very wealthy and celebrities.
Is there any procedures that get rid of freckles forever, so you won’t get them back again?
Jajajaja Pre Laser could take care of that. My parents did it back a while ago in China but I can’t say if the results are permanent (sun damage could bring cause them to show again). My friend’s mom got laser on her face, but now she can’t go out in the sun without any protection or else her skin will burn. :/

In my country, people don't have much plastic surgeries, but we do go through a lot of hair removal treatments, because most of us are really hairy.
I feel like in Germany there are also a lot of people who get plastic surgery but they simply dont talk about it. For example the nose or lip injetions. I like that you are open about it...being honest about having something done is a good think in my opinion. Not saying anything and pretending it is simply your natural beauty feels kind of like cheating to me. (I actually had a procedure done too, breast reduction which I dont think is common in Korea)
Oh really?? Mine were to big and they really hurt my back and I got teased a lot my whole school time because of them so the reason to get the procedure was mostly to feel more comfortable in my own skin.

Denkst du wirklich, viele Deutsche kriegen Plastic Sugery? Ich wäre eher von dem Gegenteil ausgegangen, nämlich dass es verpönt ist?
Hm ich glaube im Vergleich zu Südkorea sind es bestimmt weniger aber ich denke es sind immerhin einige. Und da es eher verpönt ist reden weniger drüber. Das wäre meine Sicht auf die Dinge...ich habe die letzten sechs Jahre in Berlin gelebt und einige Leute kennen gelernt, die offen über ihre Pläne sich operieren zu wollen geredet haben. Oder auch ein paar, die zumindest gesagt haben, dass sie sich die Lippen aufspritzen lassen. Ich glaube der Gedankengang das es etwas unechtes, künstliches ist schreckt und ekelt viele Leute. Dabei sind Dinge wie Kunstnägel, Extensions etc. auch sehr gängig in Deutschland. Ich wünschte die Leute wären offener und würden mehr dazu stehen.
