Turning Plastic Waste into 100% Recycled Tiles ♻️

  • Опубликовано: 9 июл 2021
  • By popular request we're showing you our process of making 100% recycled plastic coasters, with a particular focus on how the moulds work. These are made from 100% post-consumer plastic waste that we collect, clean, dry, sort, shred and inject using our injection moulding machine. These could also be used for tiling, which we really want to try in a future video!
    We've had about 20 giant bags of milk bottles sat in our shed for a good few months now, so we thought this would be a good opportunity to shred through the lot of them. For everyone's sake we didn't show all of them otherwise this video would have been MUCH longer. Obviously not everyone has these machines to make these themselves, but we've got another video on our channel we shows you how to make coasters using super basic tools: bit.ly/2TWGdaD
    But if you don't fancy cracking our your panini press then these coasters are for sale on our website over at www.brothersmake.com/shop/p/c...
    If you are interested in the machines we use in this video, then head on over to www.plasticpreneur.com and see what they're all about.
    We hope you enjoy the video!

      I'm curious, how many coasters can you make in a day? Or better question, if you mix the pre-ground plastic together from start to finish how long do the three coasters take to make?

      Hey brothers make, I'm really liking y'all guys project, really beautiful stuff, i just one question, how much did plastic preneur machines cost?

    • @BrothersMake
      @BrothersMake  2 года назад +2

      Depending on the grade of HDPE we are using, a full hopper takes between 5-9 minutes to melt. Then maybe 2 minutes to inject and refill. The demoulding can be done whilst the next batch is melting to save time, so roughly 10 minutes for 3 coasters.
      All our colours are pre mixed, we just did one from scratch for this video ☺️☺️

    interesante estrategia para la recuperación del plástico desechable y al hacerlo re-utilizable le estamos de cierto modo prolongando la vida al planeta y a nosotros mismos, espectacular por demás cuando de este modo se pueden obtener ingresos adicionales ......................

    I’ve just discovered this awesome hobby and have been loving the experimentation and imagination process. Unfortunately, I’ve also noticed the tops of my hands have become red and itchy; nothing on the fingers or palms. This started around the same time
    I was running detergent bottles through the scroll saw and melting the pieces in the toaster oven. Has anyone here ever heard of an allergic reaction the HDPE after it is cut and melted?

    hey guys I live in the states and I was wondering about the machine you used to pelletize. Is it something commercially available or something custom that you commissioned?
