A perfect toy for the baby to torture Elise with while developing musical acumen. Some atonal masterpieces are sure to be summoned by those prodigous little hands
I get bombarded with Temu ads, as I'm sure everyone does. I just mutter, "Thank you no thank you." However I LOVE you showing us an actual Temu product. It's really hilarious what absolute and utter sh*t that "guitar" is. Thanks for this amusing reveal.
@@EliseEcklundhey!! I just wanted to congratulate on your pregnancy! I bet the baby will be as beautiful as you are!!! ❤ you’re one of my favorite RUclipsrs!
This is a deep journey into the concepts of materialism, commercialism, modern day apathy, the responsibility of the internet in changing times. Wow. Just wow.
Well I bought an ukulele in TEMU and it's really good, it's made of wood, just a simple brown ukulele without any painting, but it has also: instruction for beginners, a tuner, spare strings and a case, a very nice set. you guys should look for a good thing and not fall for "colorful paintings" it is possible to find something worthy! The ukulele had 70% discount and it cost 18$ now it's 36$
To be fair, it used to be not uncommon to find ukuleles that have tuning pegs bolted (screwed) into place to keep pegs from slipping after being tuned. So, not that I know what may happen when loosened, but that's not impossible. I also must say that I've seen a ukulele SIMILAR to that in a local Dollar General... I'm not sure about the extra pegs, though. Also, before ukuleles made their way into the form we know them to be, in their country of origin (Spain), they actually were referred to as simply soprano guitars if memory serves me. It wasn't until they made their way into the Pacific-islander regions that they were termed "ukuleles." Essentially, the instrument's purpose and technical approach was refined and perfected in Southeast Asia and Modern-day Hawaii, then grew into popularity as the tiny, adored solo machine we all know today. God bless.
I was thinking that they may be some form of locking tuner. I'd imagine if you back the bolt off a hair, you could then tune and tighten to lock again... but that's just me pulling an explanation out of my ass
@@ronthedon5317 I upgrade all of the tuning pegs on my guitars to locking tuners to minimize detuning while playing. On the back of the tuning peg there is a small knob that you loosen/tighten by hand that will lower or raise a small ball in the peg to lock the string into place that doesn't allow the string to slip.
I got one of those ukulele from elsewhere, and I modified it so that it can be played, I replaced the tuning pegs and had to modify the tuning heads to fit correctly, I also replaced the strings with a proper set of strings, the ones that were on it in the first place, well lets just say there were two strings doubled up to make two strings out of four. my modified version does stay in tune just, but it works ok-ish
I bought a pair of sneakers from Temu, and they're some of the most awesome LOOKING sneakers ever, but when you put them on, they feel awful, barely there, not supportive, just crap. But, on warm summer days, I wear them and put up with the cheap cheap feel just to impress, because everyone thinks they LOOK great. Wouldn't recommend them at all.
I was distracted while watching this and missed the part about the guitar, so I thought she was trying to show that she bought that Pitbull cutout from Temu when she was pointing towards it. My faith in Temu was about to be restored, lol
Guitar Center got in trouble some years ago for refusing to work on "guitars" like these, referring to them as GSO's - guitar shaped objects. "First Act", a company that makes a lot of them tried to sue.;
First Act were an actual instrument maker. Their guitars were pretty basic student models for the most part, but they're decent enough instruments. The "instrument shaped object" line originated from a distributor that had been negotiating with First Act until they turned the distributor down because they wanted a big cut. It was the corporate equivalent of going "well, you're ugly and I didn't want to go out with you anyway" when someone turns you down, and unfortunately a lot of people bought into it.
I just checked (January 12, 2025) and this is listed as "Beginner's Ukulele Starter Kit - 【17 Inch Blue】Handheld Guitar." It's $10.74. The ad notes that the other two shown in this listing DO have adjustable strings. Free shipping from China - I don't think they're making much on this.
When I first got a ukulele it turned out to be one like this there the pegs were bolted in and an attacked pick, I had to wait 7 months until I could buy a real one (which is ur signature city ukulele and it’s so good omg)
Actually if you unscrew the screws then the pegs should loosen and you’ll be able to tune it, then screw em tight once the strings are in tune. I have a cheap ukulele with pegs like that.
The tuning pigs on the back are real. That’s the way lots of ukuleles are set up. It may be that they’re tightened too tight for you to turn them in which case you simply need to loosen those screws just a tiny bit. But I guarantee you those will turn the tuning pegs. The fact that there are strings on the ukulele and you can see that they’ve been wound onto those pegs kind of makes the point.
It’s for kids. Read the sizes. Read any thing and everything it says. Read what customers said about the product. I got fooled a time or two. If you have doubts don’t buy it. You can get your money back on two items and probably will get to keep The items.

The bolted tuners should be friction type. They should turn tightly. Your musical performance was genius.
