He should have spent the dough to buy some wigs if that was really the look for him. The jackets and some of the high heels were a hit. The eveningwear is modified belly dancer costumes. They look unabashedly cheap.

Nope. Marc Jacobs has been pulling from the 80s...since the 80s lol...& he understands that reaching back to the 80s is all about editing--carefully choose the best & lose the rest. Tom Ford has opted to lift wholesale here, & it lands flat. Unfortunate, because his S/S 2022 collection was brilliant, a real masterpiece in 80s redux.
