Trouba is the answer in a tough East. No way Rangers can get through unless they play with grit.
Schneider has proven to play that position and score and it's a no brainer to place him ahead of Trouba but will Captaincy over shadow Schneider play or will the coaches place him ahead of Trouba. Vesey is slow, he gets caught too many times leaning the wrong side which creates a breakaway for the other team. This is going to be a interesting season.

If you're gonna' be so critical of Trouba; then, you absolutely have to go full board critical of our " Stars " and the entire defensive core.
Let me tell ya'....Fox, Lindgren and Miller played defense, a majority of the season and post-season: like Stevie Wonder chasing a laser pointer.

Game 1: Rangers took a total of 6 minutes in penalties: two minutes by Trouba.
Game 2: Rangers took a total of 8 minutes in penalties: none by Trouba.
Game 3: Rangers took 12 minutes in penalties: 6 min took by Trouba.
Game 4: Rangers took 10 minutes in penalties: none by Trouba.
Game 5: Rangers took 8 minutes in penalties: 2 minutes by Trouba.
Game 6: Rangers took 2 minutes in penalties: none by Trouba.
Hmmmm.....seems like a whole team problem.
Again, another grossly exaggerated " bash Trouba " statement.
In the pivotal Games 5 & 6: Trouba took one 2 minute penalty. Miller took two awful penalties, in Game 5.
Trouba was on the ice, for one goal against: in games 5 & 6.
Look into who was on the ice, for all the other goals: in games 5 & 6.

So to summarize:
The Rangers took a total of 46 minutes in penalties, in six games.
10 of those minutes by Trouba.
The other Rangers players: took almost two full periods worth of penalties, in six games.
Trouba took half a period's worth of penalties, in six games.
Yeah, it's all on Trouba...hahaha
You do realize that 5 penalties in 6 games is unacceptable right? Especially when you’re taking them because you repeatedly get caught out of position. One player accounting for over 20% of the penalties is terrible. Thanks for doing the math for me.
