  • Can you believe that you have a two year old now? I can’t! In this video, I will walk you through all of the developmental milestones you should be looking for in your 24 month old toddler. My developmental milestones and activities are based on the Ages and Stages Questionnaire, which Is used by most pediatric offices and hospitals to identify possible developmental delays. It is broken into five skill areas: communication, gross motor skills, fine moror skills, personal social skills, and problem solving skills. I hope this video Is helpful for you!

    These have been so extremely helpful for my child's entire life. I've been using them since she was 2 months old. Thank you for these. (:

    This video helped me realize how far my daughter has come. She's 22 mos and has always been ahead with her communication/problem solving/ fine motor but struggled with gross motor. Today at 22 months, she's pretty much right on track with this. Except the stairs bit. She's very short so her legs aren't quite long enough to step up without having to use her hands on the next step.

    You can have a 24 mth old with amazing receptive language & a big discreoancy between that and expressive language. Its often missed because of how well a child understands you & follows directions.

    My almost 24 month old is struggling with the 2 word sentences, but sometimes I’ll hear him say “mine” or “my”. I know he knows “mine” because he’s been using it for a few months, but I can’t tell if he uses “my” as a separate word or if he’s just saying “mine” and being lazy in the moment by not ending the word. Without him speaking in many simple sentences, it’s hard to tell.

      @@jupitersblessings4875MAYBE that is because she acquired that knowledge during her lifetime, and not due to the placement of planets at the time of her birth?
      I hope you keep nonsense like this fra away from that child of yours - they deserve a parent who teaches them about the actual world and not confuse them about it

    Love the video! Do we have any information on how Communication section reflects on the bilingual kids?

    • @GinnyBeeEdD
      @GinnyBeeEdD  2 года назад

      That is a great question! Research does not suggest any language delays due to being raised bilingual!

    New subscriber, my kids are just slightly younger than yours. 22mos and 6 mos, so these videos have been very helpful.
    Currently my toddler is at the phase where every answer or response is "no". How did you deal with that phase for your toddler?

    • @GinnyBeeEdD
      @GinnyBeeEdD  2 года назад +4

      Give them a choice, instead of a yes/no! Instead of, “Are you ready to take a bath?” I swapped to, “Ok it’s time for bath! Do you want to walk up the stairs by yourself or holding my hand?” It takes away a lot of the power struggle because they get to still feel “in control”.

      @@GinnyBeeEdD great idea. I'll switch up and see if this gets better results. Right now it's just a big "no" party lol

    To fourteen.

  • @hanooda80

    Does 36 weeks count as premie?

    • @louisacoote2337
      @louisacoote2337 10 дней назад

      As far as I know, 36 weeks is considered full-term ( baby can breathe on their own and all organs etc are formed). My newest niece was born at 36 weeks and 3 days and was not considered preemie. My other niece ( who is nearly 2, hence why I am watching the video) was also born a few weeks early ( due on the 22nd and came on the 10th) and not preemie either.
      I think my nearly 2 year old niece has reached most of these milestones, I’ll have to try some of them when I next see her.

    We do not let our toddler climb on furniture.. and as far as eating with a spoon our child loves throwing food 🤦🏽‍♀️

      @darlinebernadin7807 Месяц назад

      I feel like I am also guilty on that point because my child reacts the same way plus we have to fight with him to eat that's why we always have to feed him and his 24 months 2 weeks now 😩

    • @GinnyBeeEdD
      @GinnyBeeEdD  Год назад +3

      Make sure you measure by adjusted age! So you should be looking at ~16 month milestones if your preemie was a 32 weeker!

    THE PROBLEM is STIMULATION at this age, then kids go to a public school and the GENIOUS we all worked so hard to awaken, is killed painfully, ....I see it in the serious faces...at gaes when they should be SHINING
    WHAT ARE WE DOING TO HUMANITY? KILLING JOY
    IF YOU RE NOT GONNA GARANTEE THE RIGHT FOR GENIOUS, DONT AWAKEN IT..
    THE..HIPERACTIVIRTY AND ATTENCION DEFICIT ..thing...are filling the platform of childhood...what a crime
    to stimulte them and they medicate them....with people to depress the nervous system cause they re tooo high..energetic..wild...and have a brain that s not developping at own rate..or didnt when they were 2
    ..what to say...
