- There are so many fun milestones that you're working on this month with your 21 month old toddler! In this video, I cover all of the gross motor, fine motor, personal social, problem solving, and communication milestones and developmental activities that you should be working on with your toddler. All of my milestones videos are research based, using the Ages and Stages Questionnaire to measure growth. When my daughter was a NICU graduate, this exact questionnaire was used to measure her growth! I hope this is helpful to you and your family!

Thank you so much for your videos. I can see that you are showing your toddlers progress honestly. Your toddler just looks like mine and the toddlers in my little ones kindergarden.
I have the feeling that most youtube channels are showing older toddlers and pretend them to be younger. I am always feeling bad after seeing 21 month old toddlers that can put on their clothes by themselves and speak in 3 word sentences. Thank you for sharing this.
Happy to help! These are all honest ages and of course, my daughter cannot do them all. (And that's totally okay!)
My 21month old does speak in 3 word sentences from time to time now but can’t yet put on his own clothes
Oh my great video thank you! Has anyone told you you look like Madonna !! Stunning ❤
Thank you. This series deserves more views
You’re very kind, thank you! I’m glad it was helpful!
Thanks for this video. My girl will be 22 months soon and she’s pretty good with all of these !
Thanks. This was reassuring. My 21 month old is advanced with verbal, and all the academic stuff (can read many words, count to 3 / 4, knows numbers up to 20s and up to 60s less reliably, knows colours, shapes, etc), but was worried about his motor skills as he loves jumping but his feet never leave the ground. Guessing just to continue the bouncing and hope his feet leave the ground soon? Thanks for the pipe cleaner advice. He likes threading beads but is not getting the concept of holding the top part of the string before letting go, so it falls off again. Maybe pipe cleaners will be less frustrating to start with.
Thank you for this video! My daughter is 21 months has always been advanced on communication skills but still struggles with pronouns. Thank you for the penne and pipe cleaners idea too! Another pretend idea that works really well for us is pretending a laundry basket is a boat! She sits in it, pretends to row and sing her favourite songs about boats ahah. One strruggle though is that I know she does how to do certain things, like climb, drink from a cup, etc. but she prefers asking us to do it for her instead! We've been pushing her to do it herself a little but she's fully into the tantruming stage...
I love the laundry basket idea!! What a cute idea to integrate songs, too. I think rather than making it a power struggle, I would offer an open cup and walk away for a minute and do something small and see if she’ll help herself to get what she wants faster. No pressure, just observation!
Hello my son is 21 months old and he can't speak meaningful words he just keeps babbling or points at things...he responds to his name shows his body parts repeats after me words like Dada mama Nana.....I m so stressed what should I do?
Don't stress... he's pointing and understanding what you're saying... he responds to his name... he's likely just fine.
How is your baby doing?
@@daisyaguirre7968 a lot of improvement is seen .....just watched speech therapy videos and try at home all the activities....he can now speak 2 words sentence....
Thank you so much for your videos, they are very informative. Short and to the point! 😊 At what age does a toddler begin to learn their colors? My son is 20 months and he thinks everything is the color “blue” Lol
Thank you so much I’ve been lost As to what actual milestones my child should be completing or at least working towards completing and your video(s) have been a huge help. I am a first time parent with little to no help what other advice Or videos can you recommend to help me be a more hands on parent to my 20 month old Kimora… Thank you, God Bless❤️
So happy to help! I like knowing really clear guidelines, so these lists helped me as a first time parent, too!
Thank you for making this video. I will definitely practice doing these things with my 21 month old son. He says words, but mostly when watching his nursery rhymes and he will sing along and count 1-10, but he does not call things by name when he sees them and he still doesn't call me mama. He says "nana" when singing along to baby shark.
Sounds like he’s doing really well! Animal sounds count as words and was one that was more accessible to my daughter!
How's your baby now
@@mohitsekhawat634 he's doing a lot better. He can call things by name, I see where he understands some sentences that I say and will sometimes say 2/3 word sentences
@@Iamophelia that's great. 21 months of age does he understand your commands and points?
@@mohitsekhawat634 yes, he points and says some things that he's going to do. He is now 2.8 years old.
This video is so helpful - thank you!
You’re welcome! ☺️
my 21 months old son is good with everything else but still not talking, not sure if its because we confuse him with language because he is supposed to learn sesotho and english and 1 thing i dont get is he still has only has 4 teeth, is that normal?
My child has picked up the concept of colors yet what should I do?
Teach her
Help my boy is developing slow
My 9 month has better motors skills than my 20 months mother needs advice
Baby PT is helpful for motor skill help. Talk to your pediatrician and raise those concerns to get referrals. We also found that baby gymnastics made our child incredibly strong so her motor skills are crazy. Hope that helps
Are they different genders? Boy’s development is slower normally
Nah
