its still plagiarism since ur plagiarized urself , u have to take permission from the teacher if ur allowed of using previous writings u did , this is the case in my university
Everything that we write, which includes analysis, is a summary or a paraphrase of everything we have read. THE RULE IN PLAGIARISM IS: CITE THE SOURCES FOR YOUR SUMMARIES and PARAPHRASES. So, to avoid plagiarism CITE EACH SENTENCE! The rules on plagiarism is ridiculous. There are a lot of topics in Covid-19, Climate Justice or International Criminal Law on Complementarity principle. Yet, the writers are not charged with plagiarism even if what they have written were merely summaries or paraphrases taken from other similar works. Rule of thumb: Each SENTENCE must be cited!
quick question, I'm doing a piece of creative writing for course work and have to come up with an original story. I came up with an idea that suited the parameters of the coursework but I've realised that the story is very heavily inspired by one I've heard before. while it isn't the exact same, it has the same concepts and general ideas as the one I've come up with. I don't want to steal someone's work but I'm struggling to come up with anything that could make my story more original but still for the parameters of the coursework, if you have any advice that would be great thank you.
Exactly, paraphrasing is the ways that we using our words, grammar, and synonym, but The big concern that we must be deal with is vocab to understand the mean. any ways, practicing is our best choice....

How much of a paper should be cited material and how much should be your own words? I once saw a syllabus that said you cannot have too many sources or else it's called an aggregation. How am I supposed to avoid having a paper that is nothing but citations?
@@aangitano actually I did find an answer from a JSTOR article written by a history professor. It was a simple answer in just use as many resources as you need!
Change the sentence structure. No law on the earth can prove it plagiarism. Just like Thomas Edison and Nikola Tesla. Edison was inventing DC power supply and Tesla was inventing Alternating current (AC) supply. In fact, both were inventing power supply. Now a French company is producing Airplanes, this doesn't mean that an American company can't produce an airplane. Just like cars. All cars have 4 wheels whether it is BMW or Ferrari.
Changing the sentence structure is called paraphrasing, but paraphrasing without giving credit IS plagiarism. And yes, it can be proven in a court of law and has been.
Naeem Khan no, that’s incorrect. Using material from sources AND CITING IT is scholarly research. Using any material from a source and not citing it is plagiarism.
@@kcjd8659 But I mean, wouldn't this video it self have lot of plagiarism too then? They're kinda doing exactly what the commenter is saying to do but I don't see them citing many of their sources, and they must have obtained this information from someone or somewhere.

Yes, you CAN paraphrase. But if you just word switch--this can be called close paraphrasing--and this would not be good paraphrasing at all. It would be considered PLAGIARIZING--even if you cite the paraphrased source!!!
Hi can someone illustrate me please. If i ask how one calculation was made in a research paper and someone replied me back showing me the procedure but there are some values differents, even if i changed it will still be plagiarism? having in concern that for calculations most of it has to be in one way or another slightly similar in other to get to the same value
How about people's name? How do I remove the plagiarisme? Because when I checked my assignment plagiarisme I got 1% plagiarisme and it was because of a name of a famous person😑
So I’m in my freshman year of college in America , I’m from a different country and in our curriculum they never taught us how to write essays , it’s just not in our system so I don’t know the rules for writing a research paper , I just submitted one of my final paper for a class , but in it I used quotation as a way to backup my points and ideas , and at the end of the quotation I linked the article that I got it from , and I’m so scared that somethings gonna happen 😩😩
