I love Sarah Waters! It's been too long since she's released a new book. Glad you enjoyed Fingersmith despite the Handmaiden spoilers. I am really looking forward to Booker season.

Hi Bob.,"Fingersmith" is a wonderful book, and it doesn't matter how long it's been since it was published. I like your description of this as a twisty, fun, romp of a book. Sounds like a great reading week with a nice mix of newer and older, fiction and nonfiction.

You met Sarah Waters?! I can't believe you haven't read any of her books until now, especially as she's been shortlisted 3 times! And you spoiled Fingersmith for yourself?! 🤯 The Handmaiden is an amazing film but I always think if there's one book I could read again for the first time it would be Fingersmith.
