I've had such mixed results with vortex mixers that I've just abandoned them completely. I'm sure some people have had success but I just get DOA units unless I pay $120 for a junky piece of plastic. What I HAVE found success in, is in using those massage guns. Usually those sets come with a kind of forked head attachment, which is what I'm using. You can suspend your paint bottle, whatever brand or size, with a rubber band and it shakes up and down and side to side. Bonus is those massage guns crank like hell and I get absolutely wonderful mixing in my old AP paints that have been sitting around for god knows how long. Plus side is there is basically none of that vibration feedback that's concerning over the long term and since the item is a double dipper, if for some reason it goes out I won't feel bad about replacing it because I also use it for deep tissue and myofascial work. If you have one try it out!
I'm using one of those massage hammers that I have, to mix paint. It has good hammering (back-forward movement only) and while it can beat the crap out of your sore muscles, it also mixes the paint fast and complete 😂 It cost me 40 euro's (anout 42 USD) and serves a dual purpose with paint mixing. It's also durable and comes with a recharger so it's 100% hand held unit. You can also select different powerlevels if you really wanna throw that paint around in the pot, but the weakest one already shakes it 100% and fast too. No need for these paint mixers for me and it's nice to ask my wife to hammer my sore shoulders after painting with that same massage hammer 😆
I feel like with some Velcro glued to the sides and a strap across the top between them, you could fasten some sort of belt to hold paint pots on top so you don’t have to hold them.

The condition you're probably thinking of is Hand/Arm Vibration Syndrome (HAVS). Often encountered by people in construction using jackhammers and the like. With that new mixer, you could use a round piece of thick foam to hold the bottle on the agitator while reducing the vibrations in your hand even further.
I was going to mention this too. I imagine the vibration isn't nearly as extreme (or longlasting) as working with a jackhammer, but that doesn't discount it.
@@jamiemckelvie5067 I think the trap people could fall into is thinking "It's not like I'm using a jackhammer all day" then repeatedly pushing paint pots onto a vibrating platform and holding them there day after day lol 😁 Sometimes even really small movements can take their toll. Try clenching and releasing your fist at arm's length several times, simple but see how long you last until your forearm muscles start to hurt.
Another channel reviewed one similar to the white one and found the click on/click off method to be very unreliable. It would keep turning off while mixing. All of these cheap Chinese units seem to be garbage and will not last any significant time. The Four E's mixers (aka Lab Genius) seem to be the only ones that last. They advertise many of these junk mixers a lab vortex mixers. Having worked in a microbiology lab for several years, I can assure you these are not laboratory grade equpment. No self-respecting lab would use these cheap units. They wouldn't last one day in a busy lab.

Me too
How do you attach the bottle to the massage thingie?
@@markkNL I don't. Can hold it in my fingers while the hammer hammers away 😁

I love the white one, works lovely
I'm happy with my old vortex mixer (the blue one). Wish I didn't have to hold the paint pots at all, then I'd upgrade.
Micro Mark has a paint shaker that you just strap down and hit a button.

Is thie white unit still working after a year?
would adding a mixing ball bearing increase the mixing efficiency?
My secrete is I put 5 paints in one hand and five in the other hand and I shake them all at once

@@richardrussell7082 I'm hypermobile so trust me - I know how quickly small movements can mess you up!

I literally just opened the white one and it would barely wiggle they are garbage
