Putting common carp on dexters farm would be catastrophic. If it floods and gets into the waterway. Look at the damage carp have done in Australia alone. Great work Dexter. ❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉

It’s great Dexter is always trying out new things. We raised Tilapia in our backyard and the kids in the neighborhood loved to come over and feed them out of hand. Now we put them in our large ponds to feed the gamefish since they breed so quickly.
Good day bro,im sure those tilapia that survive from the pond with the presence of the catfish.will surely survive and great to be a breeder, coz they are the only survivor from a hundreds of numbers...😊good day everyone 😮
Thanks for sharing your experiences with us. I still am astounded by all of the animals, and vegetables, you are raising on your farm. It is very inspiring.
Hi guys. I have noticed in a few of your videos that the fish ponds are eutrophic (green water) indicating high nutrient levels. I suggest doing more frequent water changes (20% of the volume at a time) to help improve living conditions and fish health. A great natural method for filtration is to pump water out of the ponds and through an artificial wetland system where the diversity of plants clean the water through phytoremediation. The cleaner water that comes out the other end of the wetland can then be pumped back into the fish ponds. It is not environmentally safe to release highly eutrophic water into local watercourses as it overloads the streams/rivers/dams with unnatural levels of nutrients. This in turn results in unintentional algal blooms, oxygen depletion and fish die offs in the natural watercourses. Hope this helps...
suggests the African sharptooth catfish surpasses that species in both maximum length and weight.[3][4] C. gariepinus has an average adult length of 1-1.5 m (3 ft 3 in - 4 ft 11 in).[citation needed] It reaches a maximum length of 1.7 m (5 ft 7 in) TL and can weigh up to 60 kg (130 lb).[3] These fish

You should be using small stones or even better lava rock in your filter bed, the big stones have less surface area for the bacteria to grow on.
Thats true Andrew.
How will you keep the nonnative fish from escaping? Or how will you keep the ones you dont want from getting in?

Why tilapia??? They are so unhealthy for people to eat! Even the common carp would be a much healthier option.
