Painted finish yes, DCC ready yes. Very much agree. As you have seen by our DCC sound example we have done. It possible but not easy. Really missed a trick there. Pulling power, when it was on a certain layout 😏 it was double headed with a double Fairlie which was running backward (operator error, not me) and the small England still managed to pull train round very happily 🤣.

I have been looking forward to your review on these. I am very happy with mine in spite of the slight delivery damage which I fixed myself.

Great video Jenny, I have both Prince and Princess, was able to hard wire a very small decoder into the loco body - have run them double-heading using a DCC consist, works great!

0:41 Peco have made RTR locos in the past, only in N. Something like 20 years ago, they did a GWR Collett Goods, and a LMS Jubilee. I heard somewhere that they didn't make much of a return on investment, so Peco stopped making locos. Otherwise great video!

I bought the Prince model. One thing to check is the valve gear pins, mine fell out and derailed it and managed to lose both pins. Just make sure they are both pushed in properly. Peco said its a new issue due to loose packaging and the newer models have improved packaging

Would it be possible to put the DCC chip in the tender?

There is no room in the tender, there is a weight in there... I managed to get the DCC chip in the loco body, but needed a very small chip.

You what, that Little Locomotive ‘PRINCESS’ looks good. So, I’ve got a same the Little Locomotive is ‘PRINCE’.

very plasticky (and manufacturers need to stop using coloured plastic as the base colour instead of painting) not DCC ready. Seems very expensive when you consider you can get a Kato 5 car Class 800 for £178.00

Hi Jennifer, you've probably shared this a thousand times but as a new viewer, why wear yard? Just wondering if there is a story there:)

Because the layout is based on Tyne marshalling yard but it’s not an exact replica.

I’ve just checked the cost from Hattons and Rails of Sheffield and both are selling it for £149, what’s the reason for the sudden increase

Actually three. Little Giant was scrapped in the 19th Century and Welsh Pony is a Large England.
