Sir, thank you for the fantastic and elaborate explanation. Your narration was crisp and that is something which is rarely seen nowadays. I enjoyed this informative video. Thanks again.
Thank you very much for your kind comment. I will be glad to assist on other topics related to strain measurements. Regards, Vijay , Dynatec ,130 Palace Cross Road, Bangalore 560020, Tel: 9845037894. Email:vijay.dynatec@gmail.com
Thank you for your kind comments. We have introduced a new range of strain gages for PCB testing. These are miniature 3-element rosette gages of very small size and with attached lead wires, that can be bonded on the PCB very close to the edges or corners of surface mounted components, to measure the strain at these locations due to forces on the PCB during assembly or mounting. Please contact us on vijay.dynatec@gmail.com for more details. Best regards
Thank you for the nice comment. Abrading on glass is not always acceptable, so this step is normally avoided - repeated cleaning with neutralizer is preferred. Regards
Thank you for your comments. Please see another video for bonding gages on Glass using M-Bond AE-10 adhesive. This seems to be a better solution for strains on glass, as I have attempted to bond without abrading the surface of glass, and the AE-10 adhesive is better suited for this application as it is a stronger adhesive.
I have just bonded a straingage on a cricket bat , and it is working well.Abrade the surface with fine 320 grit abrasive until it is completely flat. I avoided the cleaning with the acidic conditioner , just cleaning with M-Prep Neutralizer, then allow at least 15 minutes for the wood to dry fully, before applying adhesive to bond the gage. Regards
For aluminium and steel components, you should use the procedure shown in my video Straingage installation procedure. The surface preparation is slightly different in this case, but the general bonding procedure is similar. Please review and let me know if you have any further questions, on vijay.dynatec@gmail.com

very impressive , interesting and lots of learning. must watch
Thank you
Thank you sir...🙏🙏 👍👍👍👍
Good explanation
I’m sure my professor doesn’t know that strain gauge works like this.
I will be glad to clear any doubts about the strain gage and strain measurements.
Informative 👍
Thank you for the comment. Please also see :Straingage on Glass with AE-10 adhesive, hope you will find additional information on this topic.
Good work old man :-)
Thank you for your kind comment. Please see my other video - straingage on glass using AE-10 adhesive, which I feel is a better way for glass.

Thank you for this very informative video. I am looking for a method to measure strain in wood, do you think that is possible with strain gauges?
