    If I voice concerns for my safety in what I believe may be a dangerous area and my boss ignores it, I will pack my things and walk out of the job. No job is worth risking your life for and it’s obvious his boss thought him expendable.

    It makes me so happy to know that there is no longer circuses because of how all the animals are treated. They are wild animals regardless if you raised them since they were born! It's their instincts to attack anything for food even humans obviously. Sometimes you cannot blame these poor animals for attacking humans in the circus cause they are not fed enough plus they get whipped to do tricks and so much goes on behind the scenes that is so sad.

    • @ivey5617
      @ivey5617 3 месяца назад

      Nope, there are still many circuses that operate with wild animals. They have a strict rule of no cellphones out allowed and have staff everywhere looking out just for cellphones and if seen with your phone out, you’re automatically kicked out of the premises. And yes, here is the US.

These things look at us like food because of their imposing size. Really, any hungry carnivore/omnivore is extremely dangerous and people need to be reminded of this fact because often enough, this survival knowledge is forgotten in the urban cities.

    The last video was super sad. Not only did the ranger guy get attacked by a big grizzly or whatever kind of bear it was, but he must of brought along his little dog too. I seen it near the end as they showed a review when he was leaving his tent to travel the long hike uphill before encountering the bear hidden in the brush. I feel bad for his friends and family and I do at least hope his pup made it out alive. That would give the family and friends a little comfort I'd hope. When I go for walks in the park where it's heavily wooded I try to listen for sounds and always watch my back. Or try to anyways, I also try to pay attention to any animals or predators bigger than me. I also bring my little dog along for comfort and company. But when I walk him I try to walk in open areas where I can at least run to some kind of safety if possible. Watching these videos is a big help at times, but also scary too. I mean if you and your friends, family or pets are walking the trails in a park or the woods or even in tbe wide open at times and you put your mind into it even if you really aren't thinking about it, it almost makes you not wanna go for walks anymore in places like that. But I try not to think about that when I do go walk my pup on the trails. I try to just go to the local parks with a paved walking trail. Where kids play ball and such. There is usually a creek we follow that's somewhat shallow in most spots. So we can see the fish and ducks and all, but not many woods around. Or we'll take the Appalachian trail on the east coast side. I'm about 6 miles for that trail. Some places it gets kinda woody as far as being thick while other spots there'll be houses or farms. But are still scary at times! Not only watch for big predators/animals but also dangerous people like killers, robbers, rapist and such that also hide in the thick brush/woods. I try to walk a few miles to and from. Then we go to the ice cream shop and I get us both an ice cream or maybe get myself a milk shake and my pup one of those pup cups with vanilla ice cream and a bone or 2 in his bowl. That's a treat for us both for making it through the trails without any injuries and back home alive. So be careful out there folks, predators are just as bad on land as what they are in water

      Careful listening to sounds. Know that animals are in fact watching you and don’t want you seeing them, they are very good at that. You’re safer MAKING sounds. Bears and mountain lion are terrified by the sound of a human voice and will clear the area when they hear us coming. Now, with this bear that was protecting food, that bear would have likely confronted him if he heard the man coming due to being protective of its food. If it were a black bear, it would likely vacate and return once you’ve passed. Watching this video has reminded me to be loud in the woods and not hang too long in areas that might look like food storage layers for bears.
      Look at the young woman who was lost in the bob Marshall bear complex in montaba for like 7+ days. She survived mainly because she was loud and practiced bear safety. She saw grizzly tracks but never encountered one. She didn’t have gear with her, slept against trees with her little dog. She says she clapped and sang to keel her spirits up and bears away. You can get bear bells but they’re not actually loud enough. That’s why joking alone isn’t recommended because it’s hard to remember to talk to ourself while hiking lol. And other hikers seem to think it’s weird when they see me doing it. However, I also hike in popular safe areas where the weather and terrain is more dangerous than predators and where a lot of people are. So I encounter smother hiker like every 20-60 minutes.

    • @AZ-su1zg
      @AZ-su1zg 3 месяца назад

      Know the animals in your area. I live in an area where the most deadly creature I can encounter is another human in the woods. We have the 4- cougar, wolf, coyote, and black bear but due to the popularity of hunting here and the lack of hiking culture here, animals are evasive and humans can be weirdos here. Where I enjoy hiking, the people tend to be safer more predictable, out there for the same reason. The predators out there are the same but it’s more likely to encounter them versus weirdo humans. And in that, the first website and visitor center tend to have good advice for dealing with an encounter. Trust me when I say you’re far scarier to them than the other way around. Overarchingly, animals associate us with guns, fire, and hunting with dogs and other men. Not that the encounter will be a cake walk, but hopefully that gives you piece(peace?) of mind. Most ppl only ever see the rear hinder of a black bear which helps me when I’m out there.

    My son is an archeologist. I worry about him although he is seldom sent out alone. Even when out with a group they are separated by some distance, 50 yards I think. They are not allowed to carry weapons which I think is ridiculous considering they are usually in remote areas. Once my son was in an area with a high concentration of bears and requested bear spray for everyone. He was given a whistle- one whistle. The bosses don't understand or care. They are pencil pushers tucked away safe and sound in a fancy office in some big building in the city. Most, if not all of them are probably business majors whose idea of wilderness adventure is a picnic in a city park.

    "Goat meat" I'm sure a big cat will (if no other choice) eat any kind of meat but it makes me wonder w the petting zoo of goats why the big cats meal was goat meat an otherwise meat that's not it's natural food meat source?
